Ranges all closed, so me and the ol' Lady took a drive up to Lake County beyond Lake Berryessa to look for some squirrels. Took the .25 and some cardboard. In the parking lot on the Berryessa-Lower Lake road (trail mostly) I took a few shots to check out the BSA Tactical FFP Mil 4-14X-44 scope I bought from the Motorhead a few months ago. FFP of course is First Focal Plane which means your drop data remains the same regardless of the power of your zoom. So I sighted in for 25 yards and then shot a target (off of the Harris bi-pod) using Benjamin 27.8 pellets and shooting three shot groups. The FFP reticle gets smaller as you zoom to a lower power and takes bit more careful aiming but the results are worthit, IMHO:

Very impressive shooting there!

Looks like a winning combo.
SAFE & Happy Shooting!!!!

Nice and tight groups Frank! The way we like 'em. Love the FFP scopes too.
-
Nice shooting Frank!
I have that FFP on a 25 cal syn rod. I'm still getting use to the reticle change with power change. On 14X @ 50 yds, it is "boring" :)

I have the same scope on my .177 Marauder and I am very happy with it. That's some nice shooting for sure!
-
Awesome Frank!!! Come up with that beast it’s tree squirrel season and they are everywhere!!!
-
I sure would like to do that with John if he could get away.

Gotta love an FFP Scope! Americans have fought them for years. Only thing that made me retire my very good 2FP Zeiss! ;)
