I have a fx bobcat 25, marauder 25 . My bobcat is to heavy. What I知 after is something more compact , I take trips to west virginia and need 30 cal 75-80 ft lb then , but when I知 at home I want less retained energy for the residential area, so I will go with .177 to keep it safer for pest control around the house. When I pack the rifle up for a trip it must fit in a case in the trunk of my sadan , the bobcat in case doesn稚 . Don't want to buy two separate rifle really ? What guns are out there that would fit the two needs at once ? Any advise or suggestions will be helpful ..

FX Impact

Taipan Veteran shorty or standard. Taipans have a very wide range of power adjustment using the hammer spring so you can turn it up or down if need be. Options are limited if you want a rifle that easily switches calibers. Overrated IMO when you think about the time you would spend tuning it for each caliber. The veteran will be my next gun 100%. I regret selling my mutant.

I can't think of a safer way to shoot in a residential area than .177 ,and definitely want 30 cal 75-80 ftlbs for the country field I go to in west virginia . So how would I obtain this without changing calibers for the occasion with only one rifle ? Also what would be the big deal to have two scopes setup for each cal ? two different rifle is even more expensive and not at all compact , not going to fit in the trunk ?

Sounds like you need an airgun built like the old .22/410 rifles. Over/under, a .177 on top and a .30 on bottom with a 2 setting power wheel. ;D

and even with a under over you would still need two scopes or mark were to set the one . :) lol

That is true haha. Honestly it sounds like you are going to have to make some sort of compromise here. Maybe get yourself a nice 12fpe .177 to shoot at home and use one of the .25's you already have for the longer range stuff?
There's also the RTI priest but I haven't heard much about it really since it came out a while back. Not sure where you even get one?

My only 25 that's accurate is the bobcat and it's to heavy to walk around in the woods. Isn't the priest like the impact ?

Never heard of a sedan with a trunk too small for a Bobcat pcp. or any other bullpup. Unless its one of the little circus clown cars. LOL!
Sounds like a car issue. Not a ag issue? ( I just read this post to my wife. She says she could get at least 30 bullpups in our trunk.)
Are you telling us that the Bobcat is accurate, but the Wildcat is not? Odd, very odd.
I have to ask, are you pulling our leg? Sure seems like it!

Priest looks like an Impact and have about the same ergonomics but has pullback action and much simpler design. It has no high-tech adjustable gizmos to go wrong and uses hammer forged CZ barrel. There are some happy users who have posted positive reviews and one Dutchman who posted a very negative and somewhat questionable review of a pre production gun.

I'd lean towards a warp .30 for trips to West Virginia and a cricket compact for residential mode ;)

If I took my bobcat out of the case it would fit in the truck . But seriously don't you think if I'm going a few states away and spending anytime there that there is going to be other stuff in the trunk !!!! DUH!!!!
like extra tanks, suitcases, ect..... SOOOO I want my gun in a case to protect it !!! again DUH!!!! it will not fit in the trunk in the case with my suit cases and tanks . Can't believe I had to explain that .HMMM
I'm not going to fit it loose and unprotected in the trunk with scba tanks rolling around. lol ;)

Yes I have been leaning toward the warp. or the impact. Those rifles can be taken down some what and put in about half the case my bobcat can. and are lighter . and will do 22 or 30. I think the Impact would fit the bill and it would be slightly lighter than the warp , but I don't know how much of a gamble it is in getting one without problems ? Also don't want to have to buy two different rifles when there are options to have less expense and have one gun do both .

I think many of the problems we hear about with the Impact are user error personally. There's just too much to muck with for the average shooter (myself included). I'm sure if I had one I would find a way to mess it up. Also some may watch a youtube video and see the impact stacking pellets at 100 yards and get miffed when theirs won't do the same straight out of the box.
Matter of fact my wildcat is the same way to an extent. When I first got it I loosened the "central housing" dovetail piece to move my trigger more forward and that moved the position of the probe so it was shooting under powered. Then I moved the probe so it was centered above the transfer port correctly and my magazines wouldn't index! :o :o :o Finally I found a post that said the probe has to measure between 28.55-28.80mm from the rear of the action and then it will be lined up perfectly. Did that and all is well.
My point is, some of the FX airguns are finicky beasts so tinker with caution unless you have some serious patience!
Oh if you decide to get the Impact, check out Utah airguns. Those guys will bend over backwards to help you out. And they even answer the phone!!! ;)

Buy a travel case these goes on the roof to hold your luggage, Or other items that would open up a lot of room for the gun

Not going to scratch or alter the top of my car.
and this doesn't make the gun I have any lighter or multi caliber.

Out of the two I prefer the warp

Airforce Condor or Talon 12 in 25 cal barrel. My talondor 25 cal is super short and can go from super quiet pest slayer to hand cannon in minutes. Airforce platforms are stupid easy to adjust and can fit any need. My condor can go from 30 fpe to over 100 fpe just as fast in 22 cal. They are very accurate and versatile. Very good bang for the buck guns

So, let me see if I understand your post.
You want to buy one gun that covers 75-80 FPE in .30 but can be converted to .177 when you at home for backyard pest control ?
It has to be a farely short and light Bullpup ?
...So you are selling the Bobcat and Marauder ?
-
If I ever shoot a Sasquatch with my Kentucky long rifle while tooling around in my Honda Civic, I think I might could fit him and my gun in the back with the seat folded down.

First part is right, It does have to be short if it can break down and be put back together like the impact or warp.

I have a subaru legacy gt limited . That's the way I roll . I don't want to drive a big boat or buy a different car so whatever you got I'll race the s h i t out of it. 0-60 in 4.5 sec. That's the way I like IT. lol:)

Really though , just want something that can be taken down and put back together when I get there . The bobcat cant. It's not easily adjustable not lite, long. but very accurate. Looking for an excuse to buy a new gun . lol ect.......

Well, given that I would go for the Impact,....there's just more of a chance to adjust the gun right to those 2 vastly different calibers/powers,
But really I would get one .30 for that certain application and then a .177 for the other, actually..... I would get a Slayer .357 for the trips and whatever .177 you fancy for the garden stuff, sell the Cat and Marauder and start anew :) :) :)
