Title: .308 barrel for Texan
Post by: sht2kll on September 02, 2017, 11:17:46 AM
Howdy all. Does anybody know where I can buy a .308 barrel for my Texan? I bought the gun in .45 cal. thinking that I would get to hunt big game with it eventually. My state has not recognized airguns for hunting yet, so I would like to rebarrel it to .308 for the time being. I looked on the Airforce site, but did not see anything ( might have just missed it).

You will need a lot more then the just the barrel. You will need the valve and breech for sure and maybe more. I have taken a .308 apart yet.

Thanks for the help. I thought that it might be a little easier than that. Guess a .45 will kill ground squirrels just as easy.

Regarding  your seeking a .308 barrel for the Texan,  Airforce airguns told me that they don't  sell barrels separately for the Texan, so if you want a  .357 or .308 Texan, rather than a .458 Texan, you must buy gun in caliber you want, because  each caliber in the Texan is set up differently, with many different parts.
