I ordered an air cylinder from Crossman and it
Supposedly shipped last Monday. Still no sign of it. I have no tracking info from Crossman. Going to call them tomorrow. I think 10 days is a little ridiculous !
-
if its a gen2, they're on backorder. I'm waiting on one too.
-
Yep it's a Gen 2. They didn't mention they were backordered.
-
UPDATE - I called Crossman and they said it shipped on the 27th and will be here Friday. They couldn't explain the gap between the 21st and the 27th. ( must have been the backorder time ).

Crosman didn't inform me either. When my order came in, it was missing the Mrod tube, and I looked at my invoice and saw that the amount on the invoice didn't match the amount that was charged to my account. I gave them a call to see what the deal was. That's when I found out the main tube was back ordered. It's a good thing you called- that means my tube is on it's way as well! :P ;D
-
Just curious, why another air cylinder?
-
For me the reason for a tube is three-fold... 1) I don't actually have a Mrod, as I'm building a rifle up. 2) I'm sending this tube and some other parts to another member so that they can design a "chassis". 3) It's for my 6mm build, and will be getting shortened by the same member that's designing said "chassis".

That is what they do, even if the item was in stock the day of the order. Production builds pre-empt any parts orders. Always have to inventory what arrived and bounce it off what you ordered. Big things like air tubes are hard to miss, though. Also, pays to check all the parts. Wrong items are not that uncommon.

Mine had a bad finish. Would have rusted.

Oh yeah. Stuff happens. I wasn't too worried, Crosman never wronged me, and they always were ready with a solution when an issue did come up.
