Title: Captain O-Ring Reseal Kits (Marauder)
Post by: DRAGON64 on August 02, 2017, 10:29:28 AM
Does anyone have any experience with Captain O-Ring reseal kits in general, or specifically for the Marauder Rifle?

Not familiar with them,  but looks like a good deal. I just ordered some from Crossman yesterday. I will keep this link.

I've ordered several sizes of the polyurethane 90D, good Orings, at a good price.

The only thing those are just colored OEM o-rings which are ok, but for the same amount that kit costs you can order o-rings that are better.

The first reply in thread has link to o-rings from the o-ring shop

Thanks kkarmical, my order to the O-Ring store with shipping was $9 and some change, and I have enough o-rings just using their minimums to rebuild my rifle at least 4 or 5 times over.  Here is the direct link to the Yellow forum post that contains direct links to the O-Ring store:

For small orders, O-rings and More (http://www.oringsandmore.com/) has $3.75 shipping. O-ring store is usually $6.00.

Did you order the Viton or the Buna?

Buna-N has always been good to me in past uses.

Just wondering if the Viton 75 Duro would be too hard or would be better than the Buna 70 Duro overall.

I would say Buna-N and Viton are equally good for high pressure air, except for O-rings subject to abrasion (breech or bolt O-rings).  For that, Buna-N generally has better abrasion resistance.

Thanks for that!  I want to find the poly for the breech O-ring (.22 & .25).  I had one in my .22, but blew it out (bolt not fully closed when fired) and lost it.  They do hold up longer IME.

Yes indeed, polyurethane is tops for abrasion.  Sorry I didn't mention that, I was only thinking about Viton vs. Buna-N.

Here's a little chart that comes in handy.  Like any comparison table, it's not perfect and can't cover all the myriad of different material formulations but overall it's convenient for reference.

The 75D Viton might be slightly better from taking a compression set, than the 70D BN.
