Title: Chinese hand pump
Post by: Mr. Panther on July 17, 2017, 07:53:17 PM
Well, guess I'm not going to get to shoot my PCP's for a couple months now. My more fine $70 Chinese hand pump won't pump above 1500 psi now. I put 56 pumps on it from 1400psi and wouldn't rise above 1500psi on the pump or rifle gauge. Just going to put them away till I can afford a tank, fill adapter, and maybe an electric pump, (Yong Heng), I saw a few reviews on here and Youtube. I can always get the tank filled at the paint ball range in Athens Ga.
I am not going to even rebuild or mess with it, as it only filled up one rifle and two 13 cid tanks to 2000 psi before it quit. Well I've blown $70 in a bar when I was younger and didn't have anything to show for it, so you pay for what you get. LOL.

I'm sorry to hear that, Cole.
Never  buy Chinese.
You get what you pay for.

Yup said the same thing in my post. Just gonna buy tanks to get filled, and later an electric pump. I can always use CO2 as it isn't getting any cooler in Ga. for another 3 months.

You can probably sell it to someone willing to rebuild it. Not terribly hard to do.

Take it apart and hit the hardware store for O-rings. Rebuild it for a few dollars then dump it when you can.

Mine arrived a few days ago with a loose bushing bouncing around in the box.   I contacted the seller to see where it was supposed to go and he gave me a 10% refund for my trouble!  I just used it today for the first time after finding out the bushing was from the gauge port, so I've got it all put together now.  I pumped up may Varmint and it sounded like it was leaking air after I hit about 2300 psi.  I'm not sure if I needed to tighten the gauge some more, but I plan on using it to fill all my PCP's to see if it holds up.  At least with Amazon I can send it back for a replacement or refund if it fails.

I've had good luck with mine for a few months now. Mine came with a whole pack of seals do it'll be easy to service anyway.

Yes it did, but I'm having problems with it.  It won't fill above 2000 psi.  When it hits 2000 psi, it starts leaking air.  I have sent a video to the Amazon seller and am waiting to see what they will do.  I may be sending it back if they can't suggest a fix.  It's brand new, so I don't want to mess with trying to rebuild it straight out of the box.  It's only been used twice, once to try and fill my Varmint and the second time was to do the video of it leaking...  I wish we could upload videos, I'd add the video so you could see what it's doing.

I bought a Taousa for 100.00 a few months ago and so far it's been fine,I was a bit Leary when I bought it as a backup to my Benjamin but I think it works a bit better, I do have tanks and a compressor now so my son uses the Taousa to pump up his Marauder .22..works just fine.

<snip> I'm having problems with it.  It won't fill above 2000 psi.  When it hits 2000 psi, it starts leaking air. <snip>

I find mine leaks right at the end of the "filter" on the hose. The o-ring under the foster fitting gets squeezed out by the air pressure. The "nut" is ever so slightly too small to completely cover the o-ring, and after a couple of refill sessions, I'll either spot the o-ring "oozing" or hear the leak starting. The first time it happened, I thought some klutz had pinched the o-ring on assembly, but when the replacement did the same thing, I figured it out. The second replacement is about to go soon, so the next o-ring will be from Ace. The chinese ones seem really soft, so hopefully the Ace ones are slightly harder material or better fitting at least. After that, I may try a washer. It's easy to fix and easy to spot when it is getting ready to give out.

Mine sounds like it's leaking from the gauge.  I have an e-mail in to the vendor, unfortunately, Amazon stripped off the video, and they block all e-mail addresses, so I have noway to contact the vendor directly.  I did submit a ticket through Amazon requesting a replacement.  I guess we'll see what happens...

Well after reading about every ones problems here on this post, I decided to take a quick look at it. The gauge wasn't tight enough and it was leaking out there. I redid the gauge and hose fitting with some teflon tape and tightened it down snug. 10 pumps from 1500 to 2000 psi now. :) thank you all for your input on this.

It doesn't stop the low frequency waves, but completely stops the high frequency mind melting Alien gibberish. I will make a new Pelosi-hat to address that  later.

Hey Imold, did your pump come with a oring rebuid kit?

PaulT58, that really not worthy about your pump, I was seriously considering it till I see yours isn't up to snuff.
As it seems with most Chinese, it's like shooting &^^& whether one gets a good one of not.

Well, I heard back from the seller, before he replaces it he wants me to remove a green or black seal from the head, clean it and then replace it to see if that fixes the problem.  To be honest, I haven't a clue what he's talking about, but told him if he sent me a picture of the head and the seal I'd give it a try.  Still wondering why a new pump would need to be taken apart and cleaned!  I guess I'll wait and see what he send back.

I wonder maybe my pyramid is not effective for the high frequency mind melting Alien gibberish and that is the cause of my concentration probs...

Will try it your way with the witch hat on top for good measure.. 8)

Glad you got your pump working...

<resistance is futile you need more air rifles>

After the ghost of Tesla contacted me the dual set up, bowl and triangle, will cause a Pelostic feedback loop that will cause headaches and vomitting. I will just stick with one or the other.
