I've only read a little about this SSG device, and was on a marauder. Its sounds like something to improve on air use per shot.
Has anyone tried this on a BSA Scorpion? I know they have pretty light hammers wondering has anyone has improved the shot count without sacrificing FPE on one. I think the scorpion has room to improve in the air efficiency department, getting around 25-30 shots at 27fpe.

Yup ... fabricated an SSG device for my Scorpion .177 last year and it worked great !!
It was required tho to do a external type that had stop screw coming out the back cap which doubled as a cocking indicator, Stock required a slot to be cut for the stop screw to pass reward when cocked.

Thanks!
How many more shots did you get? I know its difficult to transfer that to the .22 version but would 10 more shots be out of the question?
Wondering why these air gun companies don't take some of this and put them in the gun from the get go?

In the .177 the shot count went up 40% or more.
Yup they BURP and hammer bounce in stock form pretty bad & the SSG is a nice add on working far better than the typical BSA 'Blast tamer' mod.

Do you have any photos of the mod? I'm curious as how hard it is to do. What I would need etc. Is there already a thread on it here?
Yea when the gun is shot it almost sounds like a little bit of after blast, like some air is escaping after the pellet is on its way.

In BSAs people normally use a Blast Tamer device instead of making a SSG. Both kill the bounce but BT is much easier to make, completely external requiring no mods and the stock is already inletted for one.
