Title: Hawke Scopes
Post by: dmiller on June 26, 2017, 08:51:54 PM
Does anyone have any experience with Hawke's Endurance model of scopes? Can they handle springer recoil? Is the scope good for targets under 50 yards (or too powerful)? Thanks- the new airgunner   :D

You may wish to contact Hawke about the specific scope you're after.  They're pretty responsive.  I note the newer Endurance scopes have adjustable focus.  I have an older Endurance with focus fixed at a hundred yards - same name, different scope.

Most Hawke scopes are satisfactory for use on spring piston airguns.  They will probably recommend not using it on a magnum springer.

As far a power goes, that's a personal preference thing.  I use a 6-24 X 50 at just about any distance from 20 to 50 yards.  It works fine for me.  I'd kind of like to try an 8-32 just because.

I have standardized on the Hawke Sport Optics 6-18x50 Endurance Side Focus Riflescope (10x ½ Mil Dot Illuminated Reticle).  Have 10 of them for my English and German guns (see my signature).  Couldn't be happier shooting from 10 to 60 yards.  Hawke's customer service can't be beat either.  Hope this helps in your decision process.  And by the way, B & H sells them for $279 which is the lowest price I have found unless Dvor has a special running.
