I have been looking for one of these at a reasonable price. Cheapest I have found was on Ebay for around $45. Walmart has them for $26.

If you have never signed up with ebates, sign up through the second link in my original post. After you sign up, find Walmart and click the link that takes you to Walmart and add whatever to you cart and check out. They rebate will be sent to you in the form of a check or you can have it sent to your PayPal account. They send the quarterly, so I believe the next time is in August. The $10 is only if you are new the ebates. The 4% on any Walmart purchase is today only, normally Walmart only has a 1% rebate.

It has the heavy duty cardboard box, and with the hard case inside, makes for a very nice air rifle shipper. The 48" ships a D34 or similar length rifle quite nicely. I usually have at least 1 extra on hand for shipping to tuner or when I sell a rifle. I consider it a nice touch to have the recipient of a sale to get a little something extra...... ;)

I 've had this box for about 11 years now and I love it. I keep a ton of stuff in it. It's my range box. I keep a 2nd set of complete cleaning accessories in it, shooting accessories, bino's, staple gun, solvents, smaller Caldwell rests, rods, gunsmithing tools, other tools, earmuffs, pellets, ammo, gun parts (1 or 2 extra BCG's when shooting AR's), mags, rags, total 30+lbs of stuff. It's very rugged and looks like it can last forever. Highly recommend it if you go to the range carrying multiple boxes today, but it's also good if you don't have a lot of counter space for all your cleaning and gun stuff, tools, etc. This can hold pretty much everything except a 1-piece rifle cleaning rod. I even put 10"x10" (or 8x8") targets in it at the top of all the stuff right below the removable tray. The only thing I don't use it for is the large spotting scope because it has its own carrying case with a sling so that goes over my shoulder.

Been looking at this each time it comes up for sale and it does look useful. Just hadn't decided if I needed another tackle/tool box or it was solid enough. That 11yr history and range use decided it for me. One is on the way.

You're gonna love it Mark. It really holds a lot of stuff, plus a safe place to set a gun down.

Footnote to the thread...this is a solid box, good quality as with any Plano I've owned. Even with the rifle mounts stowed, it does hold a fair amount of gear. Definitely worth the sale price for anyone on the fence next time it comes around.
Additionally, I used the box and the rifle rest today for a job I've been putting off for a while - shimming the scope mounts on my D34 .22 (to bring the vertical adjustment back close to optical zero). It held the rifle securely with no rotation or flexing. Much better than balancing on Caldwell bags on my bench as I've typically done in the past.

I purchased one of these in January for $16.99 from Walmart with free delivery to a nearby store. They are very nice, large storage containers for the money. The rifle supports are just so-so from my perspective. I use mine to keep a chrony packed away.

Got mine. Yes it is decent for storage but weak and not stable to support a gun for mounting a scope.

Are you sure the two support pieces are fully seated on the box edge? They are a little tricky at first to get them on right.
Mine is really stable and perfect for mounting a scope or barrel cleaning.

Seriously though, I do not recommend anything I don't use myself. I add stuff to it every year. There just seems to be no end to how many things I can fit in it.
