I found once before someone who was making some nice carry bags it wasn't the Airtanks plus one, but I found it once before and can't for the life of me find it again.
-
Not exactly a bag, but this looks nice.

I have the ATP carry bag and its excellent and made specific for scba tanks https://airtanksplus.com/product/bagman-scba-tank-cylinder-bag/ (https://airtanksplus.com/product/bagman-scba-tank-cylinder-bag/) I know you wanted other brands but this is easily the best Ive seen. Here is a cheaper bag from Zoro but not nearly the ATP bag https://www.zoro.com/allegro-scba-storage-bag-4100-45/i/G3097902/?gclid=CPPRm4_Up9QCFVBhfgodKEQP0w (https://www.zoro.com/allegro-scba-storage-bag-4100-45/i/G3097902/?gclid=CPPRm4_Up9QCFVBhfgodKEQP0w)

Yes I saw those very nice but the one I saw was a tan color if atom were to want it with you while hunting or pesting, I guess I could just get the stickman and put some camo over if I had to. Thanks

This is the one I think you are looking for http://airguntailor.com/ (http://airguntailor.com/)
I modified a cheap duffle from amazon. Cost was about $20.00 . It's not fancy but works great and suits my need's just fine.

That Airgun Taylor one is way cool Phillip !!!

Ya it is nice. But out of my budget, that is why I went with a cheap one from amazon. Added some thick cardboard to the bottom inside and some cut to length pool noodles on the sides. Keeps the tank very stable. Just have to make sure of the dimensions of the bag.
-
Yes Mr. Grim that's the one thank you,
-
I bought a EMT tank bag off Amazon for around 50bux delivered. Has side pockets for storing hose and access. Works perfect.

I agree, Wayne.

I repurposed my paintball body bag. Could hold 2 tanks and 4 pony bottles and enough lead for a month.

Where do you find this bag?

Mine is the mega. Got it at local paintball shop.

This bag has 1/2" of foam all around and is 24x8x8.5 and costs $44. I'd post a link but the mods won't let me yet. Shoot me an email if interested.

This is a protective tank bag I have been working on for my 60 minute SCBA tanks. It is lined with 1/2 closed cell foam and the handle is at the balance point. I have some other ideas to add to it yet, so it is a work in progress.

That sounds like a nice sturdy bag being the outer shell is 1000 Denier Cordura Nylon and I like that it's made in the USA. My 60 minute Drager tank is 25 inches overall length so I'm not sure it'd fit. Will call the Seller tomorrow and ask - also quoted UPS shipping is nearly $20 which is a bit excessive IMO so I'll ask about that too.
-
Danko is the Bag to get !!! Had one a couple years now and not an issue ... same green color too !
-
Snowing today here in NE Kansas so I had some time to finish up my Tank Range Bag.
Handle is forward at the balance point for the tank and it is a 60 minute SCBA CF tank.
Material is a heavy weight cottom duck canvas.

Velcro on the sides of tag bag and underside of saddle bags keep them in place on the tank bag.

Tank bag is lined with a full sleeve of 1/2 closed cell foam and 1" thick on the end.

Considering ways to provide some protection for the valve, but not sure I would use it. Could be more of a pain to take off and on than it would be worth.

Nice!
Just plain nice!
Did I say I like it?
Mitch

Wow Loren that's a first class bag! You'd be hard pressed to buy a better one at any price.
-
Just a fantastic job, Loren!
-
Very nice indeed - when will you be able to ramp up production and how much will you be selling them for? ;)

You could definitely sell a bunch. Nice job on it.
-
Thanks Crew!! It was a fun project. I have a couple of other tanks that I think I will make some bags for too.
-
If you made a pattern and materials list I'm sure that others would love to build a tank bag like yours or perhaps find a way to have them fabricated and sell the bags or the plans to make them. I for one would love to have a bag like that for my tanks. Great job
-
I didn't pattern anything, I was just winging it and designing on the fly.
If there was interest I could certainly make more after I take care of my own tanks. ;)
-
Very nice indeed, could rival the one from airgun tailor.
-
I ordered some digital camo material and it came in this last week and I had time yesterday to make another tank/range bag out of the new material.
I like the look a lot.

Now if I just had enough rifles to use up that much air, would need a second mortgage to buy pellets.

Those bags are great. Please sell them!

Yes Please me too

Can you post whay size scba and bottles are represented in the family picture? I want to check the bottle prices, as I keep coming back to how nice these bags look.

Sure from top to bottom
Tan 60 minute 88cu ft SCBA tank
Camo 60 Minute 88cu ft SCAB Tank
Camo 45 Minute 66cu ft SCAB Tank
Camo 90ci/16.2cu ft Benjamin Tank
I will have to confirm diameters and lengths of the tanks. Not sure if all manufacturers produce to the same external dimensions for the same cubic feet tanks.
-
For those that showed interest in these I will be making a small number of them for sale.

Roger, The same price $165 shipped CONUS.
Thanks!

Curious if you could also put straps on the bottom to allow the bag to be a backpack. You could put these behind a long velcro flap, so that when those straps aren't needed, they can be tucked awa and covered by rhe flaps.

Interesting idea! What would your use be for a configuration like that, you know how would you be using it? Hunting, Prepper, long walk to the range???
Thanks, Loren

Was just thinking for transport from point A to B, and keeping the hands free to carry other things.

I have been looking at some of the SCBA rigs for firefighters for some ideas, of course those are heavy duty rigs. I may have to put one in a backpack and see how it feels riding on the back without the ridged supports the firefighter rigs use.
In the mean time I created these.
