Hello Fellow Shooters,
I want to add my thanks to the donors, the people involved in planning and running, and to all who attended the funshoot at Gene's in Belton.
I had a great time hanging out with so many like-minded people. Just shooting away at the targets; that was a lot of fun. It was a pleasure to meet you all.
Also, thanks again to the donors. I was very lucky to win TWO guns, in the raffle and door prize, and a nice sized coffee/sippy cup. If I can get it filled with coffee in the morning I shouldn't need a refill for the rest of the day!
I hope to be posting a review of the two air rifles I won, a Daisy Powerline 953 in bright orange/red and a Remington 77.
My initial impressions are very positive; the 953 especially is quite accurate. I will need to get a powerful scope on that one to truly test its abilities, though. The 77 is also impressively accurate with iron sights; at 10 yards I had no trouble making a 1/2 inch hole with 10 pellets. It's a multi-pump and I should get a scope on it as well to discover its potential.
Again, I am very pleased to have won them and impressed at the quality of the prizes in this fun shoot. Thanks again to the donors and to the people who put together such a fine event; I am glad I came out. The number and quality of airguns was impressive; I wish I'd had time to see them all.
Oh, and some of you folks are wickedly good shots. I was hoping to see some really good shooting, and I was not disappointed!
Again, thanks to everyone.

Hello again every one.
I am sorry I haven't done the reviews of the guns yet.
Money has been severely tight lately and I need to wait a little longer to get a high power scope.
Unless someone has a used BSA 6-24 for sale cheap?
I hope to get the one from Natchez for $50. 6-24x40 illuminated recticle. Unless I can scrape up a little extra and get the 44mm BSA. I helped my dad get one recently so he could take care of snakes in his pond. That thing really zooms in.;)
Anyway, hope to get the reviews done soon.
Happy shooting everyone.
