Title: Regulating a PCP
Post by: wolverine on May 28, 2017, 10:33:51 AM
I would like to install/have installed a regulator in my Brocock Concept standard.

Choices are limited to a Lane or Altaros.

I have a 6 shot string from A.O.A. when they tested the rifle before shipping and it's calculating just over 25fpe.

Is 6 shots enough to accurately determine the FPE to request how the regulator is set upon ordering it?

You really need to know where the psi falls within the plateau of the bell curve.  Having 6 FPE shots won't give you that.  Having the regulator preset around 1700 psi would be a good starting point, but typically you can figure on having to adjust the regulator once or twice to fine tune once you have it installed.

+1 On Robert Lane...contact him. Regulating isn't just set it and forget it though...you need to do proper modifications which Robert Lane is very descriptive about in his tuning guide. GL :)
