Picked up my Prod this morning and no pressure :'(
Tryed a fill and i can hear air hissing with the bolt open.I don't shooted much pellets thru it,maybe 1000 pellets,i fear some debris damaged the poppet,i will take it apart after work.
-
It's very possible there's debris in the valve not enabling it to close. Crosman parts are very inexpensive and easy to acquire if even needed, it's very possible just a good internal cleaning and maybe replacing some o rings might just cure it! Good luck Fabio and hopefully you figure it out.

Thank you Wayne, fortunately i have a spare poppett,i hope the valve seat is right.

If you can get any pressure in it, dry fire it a few times. That may clear it.
Did you try filling with the gun while cocked? If you have heavy preload when empty it can be holding the poppet open slightly. Which means your actual leak is elsewhere.

It would be cocked with the bolt open!

I have no preload and dry firing was my first attempt. The hiss can be eared only with the bolt open,so i am pretty sure the problem is in the valve.

That is true!

Maybe not so easily from Italy

I buy parts from Netherland or England,in Italy Crosman is a new entry ;D

Solved! Taked all apart and found some metal debrises, maybe from my custom made offset adapter,i think they was stucked inside the air path during machining and spitted out by high pressure. The plastic poppet had a little debris sticked on,so i replaced it with a new one and now the Prod is up and running again, after a deep cleaning. The old poppet can be shaved a bit at the lathe and keeped as spare.

Good to hear, Fabio! Glad we could help ;D

Glad to hear you got her going Fabio, very cool 8)

Glad you got it fixed. I assumed the problem was the poppet! I've had issues with used ones sealing and opted to just replace them opposed to resurfacing which changes the amount of hammer throw you have to work with, even if minutely.
-
Lesson learned, always check twice before assembly machined parts, sometimes cleaning blowing the parts with air is not enough it seems.

My Prod is regulated, the hammer trow is less critical,i am planning to shave the poppet and remove the same amount of material from the shaft, just for fun, buying another spare poppet is not a big deal ;)
