Is the time really 3 weeks plus? I like the price for the longer barrel carbines but yeah that's a lot of time. Haven't decided whether to pull the trigger or just get a 2240, stock and steel breech and take it from there. I'm just wanting a 22 cal light small gun for the kayak, take a break from fishing and blast some floating targets or shoot some walnuts out of trees.
It can't hurt to ask, anyone got some 2240 project or variants that they want to unload before I piece together a gun?

I've always gone the build route... then someone posts what they got at the custom shop and I start adding up what I have invested... I love to tinker and create but I gotta wonder.... how much is that fun worth? And what happens if it turns out mediocre or worse... bad.... can I send it back for another? On the other hand, if I feel the need to go to the next level.. a custom shop gun has all the basics that add up on a total build. In that light, 3 weeks don't seem all that bad. Beside, lots of folks have received them in less than two. One hint... forego the engraving. That may be where some of the bottle neck comes from and personalized is just that. Be hard to resell a gun that says "With love from your snuggle bunny". Oh and, I highly doubt your going to get a good deal on a gun someone else hocked his truck to build.

What Bill said. I've bought three guns from CCS, and IIRC two of them came in less than 3 weeks.
I don't even generally order them in the exact format I want. Instead, I order it as an assemblage of parts I need/want, then disassemble and rebuild the way I want it. For example if I want a 14.6 inch barreled 2400 with a carbine stock and I already have a 14.6 barrel and stock, I might just order it with walnut target grips and an 18 inch barrel just to have those parts to use on another gun.

Sounds like a plan if a used gun doesn't happen. I'll get a walmart 2240 pistol and stock, alchemy steel breach. Then order a custom gun with the 14 inch LW barrel and some nice grips. I'll have a gun to play with for 3 weeks and in the end have a pistol and a rifle or spare parts.
Maybe even gift the leftovers to my buddy who has a pigeon problem.
I can always find a way that spending more money sounds good, now to explain this logic to the wife.

Spare parts are fun...

Less than 3 weeks from order to delivery. But Father's Day is coming up so possibly a little longer.

Obviously everybodies time frame will be different depending on the gun....I placed an order for 3 last christmas and got all three in record time....but have had to wait as long as 5 weeks....GTA just covered there AZZ up , so do like me order and forget it...then when it gets here .....surprise, surprise....good luck

And from a cost perspective, you can order LW barrels from Crosman after placing an order from the CCS.
I ordered my 2400KT a couple weeks ago... UGH, still not here! I NEED IT NOW!
