I have finally been able to cross off the FWB pistol from my "bucket list."
I wanted either an FWB 65 or FWB 80.
I shot it a bit but I wasn't happy with how much it buzzed/vibrated when shot.
I looked at a youtube video which showed how to take it apart which made me decide
to send it off to Mr David Slade. His email said that his work was taking about 8 weeks.
I shipped it to him yesterday so now I get to do about 8 more weeks of waiting.
But I know once I get it back it will remain with me for the long haul.
I do have one question. Every rifle that I own has some type of finish on their stocks.
How come FWB 65 and FWB 80 wood grips feel like bare wood?
Are they treated with some kind of finish that protects, yet looks like bare wood?
Can hardly wait to get it back because it was so crazy accurate.
It will be my main pistol plinker.

Final shaping and finishing is up to you.

Thanks Frank!
But it sure seems like all the ones that I have seen with the adjustable target grips look bare.
Sure some of the slimmer grips look like they have some kind of finish.
We are talking about pistols that have made quite a few times around the sun and they still
look bare. Oh well, I know what to do once I get it back. Shape & Finish.

DS is the man.
I'm sure he will have it shooting just right...

I totally agree.
Mr Slade worked on my Beeman CrowMagnum and I couldn't be happier.
