:-\ Pulled out the trusty ol' HW 100 the other day to dispatch a pesky Crow and found the pressure down to almost nothing, I thought maybe I shot too many rounds the day before and forgot to fill it back up, so I recharged the cylinder to 2800 psi and set it down, 20 minutes later I pick it up and checked the pressure and it was down to 800 psi, I thought " oh great, it's got a leak" so I went about checking for the leak, Fortunately I'm Retired HVAC tech so I broke out the Ultra sonic leak detector and sure enough it went "NUTZ", leak located at the base of the cylinder connection to the main valve, pulled the cylinder off and found the main valve o-ring that seals to the cylinder was out of round and hardening, had flat spots and micro cracks, well I didn't have a Weihrauch seal kit to replace the o-ring but I did have a Hrbor Frht Buna Nitrile 0-ring kit (big Blue Box), the smallest o-ring in the cheapy o-ring kit was very close to the same size as the original o-ring(pt#2665) so I tried it, put a small amount of silicone oil on the o-ring and reinstalled the cylinder, pressurized it to 3000 psi and it's been holding there for the last 3 days, did a couple shots and still holding good, so I did order the upgraded o-rings from a place in the UK (pt # 2665), no one has them here in the USA, so if you really need a quick fix and can't get the original, go to H.F. and pick up the Buna Nitrile o-ring kit in Metric or SAE, they are handy to have when you need it.

Those 0-ring kits come in handy, have used mine to get me out of a jam a couple times.

Thanks for posting the info and part numbers, if mine ever leaks I should be able to do a search and find this post in the future.
How old is your HW100?
Thanks!

I haven't checked, but did you try Pyramid Airguns for the correct o-rings? As they sell the HW100, they would be my first guess. I do know they carry rings for many of their PCP's.

I had a small leak in the 100 FSB, and had a hard time finding it. The gun would lose 20 bar in 24 hrs. It turned out to be the hammer valve. The seat looked a little rough. After lapping it in, it holds air forever. When reassembling the O-rings I used dielectric grease on them, The thicker grease helps seal them better. I found this post and it has a list of all the O-ring sizes at the bottom. For the price of 2 rebuild kits you can get enough rings to rebuild it 10 times. http://weihrauchowners.freeforums.org/hw100-tweaks-t5300.html (http://weihrauchowners.freeforums.org/hw100-tweaks-t5300.html)
You can get the o-rings here. http://www.theoringstore.com/ (http://www.theoringstore.com/)
Hope this helps a little. Tom

My HW 100 T FSB is about 2 years old and I only had the cylinder off twice before I bought the fill tank adapter and the 1/8" fosters fitting for the probe filler, so It has been holding good for about a year and 8 months, when the leak was apparent I searched all the normal places on the internet for the parts and all were out of stock, so started checking other forums and did come across the Weihrauch owners forum, but at the time I could not tell which seal was bad in my Rifle, after finding my old 0-ring kit I tried the small o-ring and the leak stopped so I looked up the HW 100 parts list at PA and checked their stock, none avail, so I started checking and found them on Ebay from the UK, at that time I forgot about the o-ring store, I tend to forget more everyday now that I'm getting old, oh well , less to worry about......

Well, it's been over a month and the pressure is still holding, no change, the cheap HF o-ring works.....

Good to hear you got it stopped. Your right about not many HW 100 owners here. Strange because they are excellent guns, with very nice triggers.

they really are excellent guns Tom, my HW100 is my go to gun, it's just so accurate and smooth, no fighting to cock it, and yes the trigger is phenomenal, I love my other guns, but hands down, the HW100 is in a class of it's own.

I happen to come across this HW100 web site.

The only fault for me with the hW 100 is the weight. Being old, and a bad back, it's just too much. I do find that people are buying aftermarket, or should I say replacement air tubes from FX that are alu. rather than the heavier steel.
Seems to work. At a cost. ;)

it works great for any gun, I use mine for all my rifles, pellet to Big powder burners.

It is the nicest gun I own, and the most accurate. Think that will change soon, I just picked up a used LG 110 from one of our members. The 100 will probably be moved to the number 2 spot after setting up the Steyr. Now if I can talk the wife into another Sightron.
