Title: Bullseye recoil scope mount for break barrels
Post by: RAJOD on March 28, 2017, 01:53:55 AM
I wish I had tried one of these before my old spring ate a few scopes.
Has anyone tried this?    I think it sounds like a great idea for spring guns.    I always thought some of the issues was the springs hit so hard it moves the scope just a little which leads to pellets all over the place patterns.

Here is a video of it in action.   At the very least it should save years of life for any scope as its not getting hit but the full force of each shot.

We have a member (HectorMedina) who has worked extensively with the ZR mount.  He publishes an airgun blog on his website.

You can find it here:  http://www.ctcustomairguns.com/hectors-airgun-blog/category/gear (http://www.ctcustomairguns.com/hectors-airgun-blog/category/gear)

If you move down to the third entry you will find a great deal of information about these mounts.

I've been asking folks that own a Gammo Magnum, how they like Gamo's "Recoil Reducing Rail" (Trippel R) Mount !   Regards - Tom

I don't think people realize how distructive magnum springers are on scopes.  I suspect many issues with spring air guns is due to the scopes sights being mangled by the shock of each shot.   I ruined a scope on one and it looked fine, the inside target would move a little each shot (Even though the mounts did not)

Putting a nice scope on a big springer is a no no.  But one of these mounts would seem to help save the scope.
