So when on line and found M10 special and told a friend about it and he got exited and asked me to buy him one so I did and when I tried to purchase mine I didn't have enough in my bank account and the bank was full so I wasn't able to put money in my account so I wasn't able to get it so I tried on Tuesday morning rifle not available anymore so no toy for me.
And to think that I was the one who saw the rifle and just because I wanted to be a good friend lost the rifle.
So I was so upset and started looking for a good deal o could take Advantage of.
So I sold my marlin 60
My jet city jca20 guitar amp
2 effect pedals
(Never have I sold anything that fast in my life, made some phone calls an next day all good sold)
And Found some possibilities
Gamo coyote wisper .22 for 400 dlls
Krall mega puncher .22 475 dlls - 10% discount
Beji marauder .22 synt stock 499.99 - 75 dlls discount
So at the end decided to go for the marauder .22 synt stock 430 dlls after discount
Got my self along with it
a bipod
2 extra magazines
Air Venturi female foster fitting
eBay pump
W.A.R. TSS
What do you guys think. Am I going to be happy with the marauder instead of the M10?
I mean my buddy will have his M10 jajaja
All I'm missing it's a regulator and the W.A.R MDS
Hope my marauder can give me some good groups at 50 and 70 yards
I can't wait to get my toys to go out and play with the boys
-
Man, there's gonna be some pumping going on...

I really like my .25 Mrod really accurate even at a distance, you'll probably really enjoy it. I too almost bought the M10 on several occasions until the sale was over, I'm actually glad I didn't spend the money because there's just something that don't sit right with me about buying a Chinese product if I have another choice.
-
I was kicking around the idea of buying one myself . I'm kinda glad I didn't . I ended up getting a disco for my son instead . I think you'll be happy with the Mrod. There a proven performer.
-
None of those rifles you named are bad choices. And the M10 is still available, just not at that deal from MRodAir. You can buy them from both Krale-Shietsport and Aceros-de-Hispania, both of which ship just about anywhere.
I don't know anything about the M10 single shot nor repeater breech models both places sell, but they are there for the buying. And, more importantly, the wealth of knowledge already posted here on the GTA would apply directly to increasing power should you choose.
I was in the same dilemma- buy a fine Chinese PCP (when considering almost every piece of electronics from cell-phone to computer is Chinese) from a US company with mixed reviews, or hold off and wait until I can buy the exact gun I want. Well, the sale ended, but I don't think I missed out. Since I hand-pump and that M10 is overkill for what I would be using it for, I'll be able to buy the rifle I really want (and that meets my needs completely) in the next month.
In other words, I avoided an impulse buy. Just because I can buy something doesn't mean I should buy something. Besides, there's a lot of new airguns coming out this year that might be more appealing to me.

I was lucky enough not to have to make the choice. I didn't have cash laying around to buy any gun in this price range. Fortunately I came across a seller that was willing to trade for guns I owned. Guns that I would have sold to buy one of these. He saved me the trouble. I was able to swap for a virtually new .22 Marauder Syn. I am very happy with the results.

I think you'll be very happy with the MRod - proven performer, great platform that has a deep knowledge base and lots and lots of parts available. It's a solid bet. If the M10 was a sexier looking unit, it would at least have looks on its side, but to me it looks like a Marauder clone, so why not go with the original?
-
exactly.... and for about the same money.
-
Be happy with the M-Rod, think you made a good choice.
The lure of the M10 deal was (1) the $270 shipped price and (2) the power.
At regular price, they weren't hot sellers...were too many other PCP's at nearly the same price for it to really stand out.
Lot more airgunners buy power when they really doen't need it....will quickly start asking about mods out to lower the power and extend the shot count. Know I've done just that, as there just aren't a lot of lower power/high shot count PCP's in the lower priced rifles I prefer for hunting.
M-Rod has worked form a whole lot of airgunners, and likely will do anything you would use a PCP for.
-
You'll enjoy the Mrod. Like Ribbonstone stated only reason I got mine was cheap price and power. I'm thrilled with mine and pretty darn accurate but for normal price I wouldn't have even considered it

I received an M10 from MrodAir this week. Did some work on it last night. Today I mounted a scope and put just over 300 pumps into it from empty. Seems pretty well made and very similar to the Varmint in build quality-excellent for the price. Obviously can't speak to longevity but the Varmint I received in 177 is very accurate so I'm hoping this one will be similar and if so I'll be more than satisfied pending longevity.
-
You lucked out! Your buddy will be wanting a Marauder next.
-
I'm far more intrigued by the Varmint than the M10.
There's probably some other PCP rifles in that configuration: weight, length, conventional sporter stock. But I'm not fully aware of what it is.
I know I could maybe build one, but I don't think I could get close to the price unless I could find a great deal on a used Disco to chop down and swap the valve screws out on.
-
Pretty much the same with me....even though I have both, the VArmint PCP is a much more useful hunter.
1.Less than 6 pounds even with a full sized scoe.
2. Repeater, great out-the-box-power (in .177...but also reported in .22), small air volume for a pretty short shot count (but decently efficient as mine doesn't use a whole lot of air per shot),
3. Accuracy has been MORE than up to expectations.
Yep...have to say..at this time (3/24/2017)...for just under $200, about 6 pounds scoped and ready to go, wood and metal, plus a repeater/3K PCP?...,yep, "We can do dat".
-
Yeah. I like the 37" length. And could live with spending a bit more on a better LDC. Or it looks like there's plenty of room for a half shroud with the high barrel and set back barrel band.
-
+1 on the Varmint. Nice quality, noticeably lighter than the M10 and less bulky/easier to handle (much easier to fill with hand pump). As above, accuracy of the Varmint has far surpassed what I expected but there does seem to be a noticeable shot curve. Does anyone know if a regulator is available for the Varmint? I believe Huma has one for the M10 but not certain about the Varmint.
