I was shooting indoors yesterday with my Sheridan Blue Streak at 3 pumps each. After 30 to 35 shots the POI rose about about 1/4 to 1/2". The gun is scoped because I can no longer see the front sight. I'm very badly nearsighted. I was shooting 20 cal JSBs.
Is this because I had warmed the gun up from all of the pumping?
Thanks,
Jim

Yes, there is a difference in FPS as the rifle warms up. I noticed a higher FPS when I'm doing testing at 8 pumps. By the 4th shot (32 pumps) the increases top out and you get an even string from there. I haven't seen an increase more than 20 usually in the teens. So when I do testing I'll shoot a few off the chrony before I start recording numbers.

What's your distance you are shooting? Where are you zeroed at? Cause technically your POI should drop with increase in speed.

I'm usually zeroed in at 20 yards with 5 pumps. Because I'll be going to work in the dark and getting off in the dark for the next several weeks, I rezeroed yesterday at 10M with 3 pumps to shoot on my indoor range.
Thanks,

After last night's shooting session, I believe my problem on Sunday night was the idiot behind the gun (me).
Thanks, all, for your responses.

Adult beverages? That's the leading cause of my issues.

No adult beverages. Probably 12+ hour work day for the 7th day in a row plus a couple gallons of coffee. Took off early last night - only worked 10.
