something that looks like this, small regged tank in the grip ( something like 2 16 gram tanks ) maybe 2 clips per 2000 psi fill.

probably the cons out weight the pros. these are plinkin guns so power is irrelevant. so the only real advantage that i can think of is not having to buy 12grams but if the gun cost a lot more thats probibly not a good reason to build it considering the market for it would be so much smaller then co2 gun. the other advantage of air is valve freeze but again these are plinking guns so that is unimportant (unless shooting in freezing weather), and if your pcp gun is only gonna be able to shot 20 shots you would prob not have to worry about valve cooling down with comparable shot count in co2.

well, we could also assume the pcp pistols would be closer to hunting power levels( not much).. But i see your point..Similar concept to the wildfire in the sense that it would still be a plinking gun as a pcp, if for no other reason than shot count alone ( what im trying to say is that if the action pistol pcp were a 12 fpe gun , 2-3 shots would be the limit with the limited air capacity

That pistols are used for plinking and as home training for real firearms.
those users don't mind to buy a pump or a scuba and pay the extra cost of a pcp system,a Beretta 92 Co2 replica full metal can cost 250 euros or more here in Europe.
