Title: Benji Maximus EVP
Post by: Monkeydad1969 on February 18, 2017, 04:57:27 AM
Well, if anyone was wanting to get Maximus parts...like a 26" barrel with the muzzle brake threads, or the brushed aluminum safety, Crosman finally released the EVP for all Maximus rifles.

Just thought you all would like to know.

Thx.  I'm not sure if I'll buy anything but like reviewing the parts that are new vs reused.

I looked a few days ago and there wasn't one on their site yet, I don't own one but I always like seeing what the part numbers are to compare with the Disco.

Now I can order a .177 barrel for swapping around with my .22, got spare bolt for the .177. Is it just me...when I got a .22 want to be able to swap it to .177 vice versa. The joys of this hobby!

Does the MAximus barrel come with the threaded adapter or will that be a separate item>?

EVP for the barrel and adapter show them as separate.  I'd call Crosman to be sure.

I noticed that it doesn't list the valve assembly parts seperately, maybe there will eventually be a revision to this EVP manual.

Hopefully so, Not one of their better looking EVP's.

The bolt has a different part number then the Disco, does this mean a Disco bolt won't work in a Maximus?

The bolt and handle are identical except for finish and fit all Crosman 13XX, 22XX, Discovery, and Maximus.  The Discovery bolt handle is (relatively) expensive - I recall it is stated somewhere to be nickel plated.   I have a Discovery bolt and handle in a 2240 and handles on a few others (I mostly use the Mellon flow-through probe bolt).

If someone order barrels, I'd appreciate seeing what the costs are.   Thx.

I noticed that there are different part numbers for the US and the Euro barrels, at least in .22. I didn't look at .177. Wonder what the difference is? Maybe barrel port size?

They also have different hammer Springs, but they share the same valve assembly. There may be a few more differences too. I just quickly glanced over it, didn't read in detail.
