I just picked up an Airmax Varmint in .22, 2nd hand and it arrived today.
I must say, I'm impressed with the overall fit, finish and handling qualities of this little rifle. The previous owner said that it's remarkably accurate. I can't comment on that claim yet as I haven't had a chance to shoot it but if it turns out to be "squirrel's head accurate out to 50 yards it's destined to become a favorite hunting gun due to it's feather weight and fast handling. So far it's a delightful gun. :-)

Got my sling and scope mounted. I'd venture to say that these are absolutely the most attractive $200 airguns you're likely ever to find.
Seriously considering building a walnut stock along the same lines as the classic American Monte Carlo styled it wears now.

Looking nice with that barska scope.

i have the plinkster, does the stock ldc help at all on the varmint>?
-
On mine, the ldc is just a muzzle weight that protects the crown that was made using a chisel!. Had to recrown it.

Virtually no difference between the report of the gun with or without the factory muzzlebrake.

It made a big difference on my 22cal Varmint. I still wanted to put a TKO on it though. I like my guns really quiet.
