Made a sun shade for my scope awhile back, a Hawke Varmit 6-24x44. Used a piece of 2' ABS made a few cuts and some heat to make one end a little smaller than the scope so it would be a slide on slide off friction fit. Added some carbon fiber vinyl wrap to dress it up some. The blue painters tape on the inside is to protect the scope finish. I am cheap and like to try and make my own accessories when I can. If I only had a lathe and mill and a welder and a shop.

Looks nice!
I saw on here where a guy painted an empty T.P. roll flat black as a sunshade.

Ya seen that, I wanted something a little more durable.

Yup ... salvaged cardboard or plastic shipping tubes, Big pill bottles etc ....

Woah, got enough shade on the first scope? ;)
Looks great! Thanks for the tip!

Ya, that was just to test the fit before cutting to length, couldn't resist taking a photo for laughs.
