with winter in full swing those of us in the colder states don't get out as much as we would like.
i found something that works pretty good.
i picked up a cheap ground blind at Menards for $25, set it up over my shooting chair and placed a small electric heater inside.
now instead of 10 minutes of shooting before having to go inside and warm up, i can stay out almost indefinitely.
there is plenty of room to operate pumpers and break barrels inside.

Good idea, Carl. Now if I could figure out a way not to have to put on snowshoes to put up targets at 50 yards... :)

That's really snug-looking. It's great that you get to shoot regardless of the weather. Keep on having fun. Bryan

Joanie, you could put up the resettable spinners like these before the snow falls. I have the legs of mine set in small I.D. tubes to get them off the ground.

Yup, this time of year it's mostly spinner shooting for me, too, Ken. Unfortunately, I still have to wade though the snow and clean off the spinner targets, sometimes, just to see them. :)

What about a little shelter over them? I did this so I can shoot from under the big deck Umbrella (an my deck) over to my trap, which I move to under the "carport" area next to my shed. Keep everything mostly dry except in sideways rain or snow.
I also got some targets hanging in the woods a little ways out- blocks of wood on string, and once hit it knocks the snow off. Granted, I gotta stick to lower-powered airguns, but that's okay. I can shoot from under the carport area, though it's open on three sides to the wind.

That's a great idea. My girlfriend loves to shoot but she is from the south where you see more alligators than snow and cold. Maybe I can get her out of house before June.
