Title: I won another springer

Picked up .177 springer #3 over the weekend. I won this one at an archery shoot in a raffle.

While Ive killed a ton of animals in the short time I’ve owned springers. This may be my last one as I am taking up PCP air rifles. Not sure if I will bother to set this one up since Ive already got 2 proven killers. I will likely sell this one (and perhaps the Gamo) since the Disco was delivered today.

I'd keep at least one springer as a back-up.   You never know if you may need it down the road.

It would likely be the Benjamin golden eagle that I would keep.

Those Remingtons aren't bad rifles. I bought two last year clearanced for like $65-70. They are a mash up of a Diana and a HW.

If the stock is anything like the pic, it is a looker!

I'll be interested to hear whether your trusty old Gamo shoots better or the Golden Eagle. Don't be so quick to ditch the Gamo; it has downed a LOT of squirrels and raccoons for you so far.

Congrats on the Disco. Get an LDC on it and you'll be quite happy, I'm sure.

My dad has a Gamo shadow 800(?) I think it is the same tube as the 440 in a synthetic stock. Not my favorite gun, but surprisingly accurate.

You should try the Remmy. You might like it. It has a copy of the HW Rekord trigger and can be made very nice.

   Hang on to at least one Springer, they really help with your overall shooting. They force you to do a follow thru and trigger control. My overall shooting (power burners included) has improved due to springer shooting. I shoot mine a lot! I hunt with my PCP's more but practice with the Springers the most!!
