Yesterday I received a phone call from a young man who is interested in shooting sports who was inquiring about our local club. I dropped by and met him and his mother and a couple of friends of his. He brought out the rifle in the pics attached below. It's a Turkish springer in a plastic camo stock. It's an Ekol Ultimate ES450. Never heard of the brand, much less the model. Where can I find info on these rifles? He's having problems with it as the sear does not engage when cocking the rifle. He took it to a local gunsmith who charged him an arm and a leg to "fix" it, but after 30 shots or so it's back to the same issue. Any help in finding exploded drawings and/or parts suppliers would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this rifle.

Hmmm....never heard of EKOL.
Here is the trigger group. Interesting that it has only one sear and not the conventional 2-3 piece sear assembly. But as normal from what I've seen of Hatsan, a 3 layer laminated steel sear.

They call it innovative....for me, I'm not impressed at all.

Voltran - EKOL
Evidently a company that is known for making starter pistols and revolvers.

Interesting article, thanks for passing it on. Personally, from what I've seen of one example with only cursory examination, I'm "underwhelmed" by the brand/model. I'll do my best to get the kid up and shooting, but told him to tell his friends to talk to me before laying out scarce funds for a rifle. There are better (and cheaper) choices out there - even when that "there" is here in the land of Coffee.

Unfortunately (?), no WallyWorlds around here... nor major retailers carrying airguns. We've a few small shops in town or our version of fleabay. Most folks seem to go to the small shops where the ignorance on the subject is so thick you could slice it with a knife. <sigh> I'm hoping to start turning this around as our local club starts getting into gear once more.
