Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the short barrel with the long barrel on the AT44 .25? I ask because I accidentally purchased a spare long cylinder on ebay. The long cylinder will not work with the ldc. I like the idea of having the extra shot count as well.

I mentioned this in your other thread but I can tell you my experience with doing attempting a barrel swap on my at-44 short in .22. The barrel fits into the receiver just fine but the long barrel had a slightly larger OD than the short does. At least it does in .22. You may end up having to get some different barrel bands from Hatsan and give that a try. I tried running it with no barrel bands as I do with the short barrel but the gun got terrible groups this way and I wasn't able to quickly tune it in so I just put it up for another time. Maybe Hatsan can answer this question for you directly or try to reach out to the Hatsan guru BWalton. He's got a website Bwaltonpcp.com with some contact info. Shoot him an email. I'll bet quite a lot that he knows the answer off the top of his head.

I swapped the barrels between my AT44 QE long, and my AT44 short. They fit fine and shot the same between rifles. I have done the same mods to both rifles. Yesterday I swaped the barrels between the BullBoss and the Short one. Shot great. You should see the short little thing.

I thought about swapping out a short barrel and cylinder on my Bullboss too a while back, but could never justify spending the extra $$ to get a short barrel/shroud :( I bet it is nice with the short barrel/cylinder though. It would be shorter and lighter :D

I would have thought the barrels would have been the same diameter? That's odd for them to do that. How much difference are we talking about?
