Got a Tiger shark tank from Joe with the full armor and all the extras. Recently when filling a gun/refilling the tank around 2500psi and up in getting a slow leak from this hole

I emailed Joe tonight about it and will see what he says but in the mean time curious if anyone else has had this and what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated. It only leaks when the hose is connected and pressurized. Thanks all

That appears to be a manufacturing defect in the valve housing. If I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing.

Yup ... Faulty casting & Joe should and will likely replace it N/C

WOW that makes you wonder how that ever passed manufacture inspection / hydro???

Woah not what I was expecting what so ever! I've had the tank for 6 months probably and this just started maybe a week or 2 ago. Haven't been shooting much at all until recently. I guess I'll just empty the tank today and go from there.

I'm looking at a new valve from JB that arrived this week and that hole does exist. It is not a casting flaw. It is a drilled hole and can see something silver colored at the bottom. It is not installed so can't say if anything leaks from it. My guess is that it is some form of "fail safe" bleed hole.
I checked the one on my guppy, which is a few years old, and that hole does not exist. I'd wait for Joe's input.
PS: I removed the din/male foster part of the valve, and the hole goes all the way through There is an o-ring seal on the bottom of the din connector that should seal off and not allow any air to get to that hole. Try tightening it (1" open end wrench) and if that doesn't work, remove it and check the seal/o-ring (with the valve closed, no need to empty tank).

Thanks John! I was going to say it looks like it's a hole that should be there it didn't look like something broke but a drilled hole. I will do what you suggested and see and also am waiting for Joe's response. Sound like it shouldn't be a big deal. Air is still in the tank haven't had time to mess with anything yet.

A few months ago, I had a leak from that o-ring on my guppy. The fitting wasn't fully tight and o-ring became extruded from the pressure. JB quickly sent out two new O-rings.

MIne doesn't have that drilled vent hole. I measured the gap between the faces of DIN/Foster fitting and the valve housing.
Mine is screwed in to where that gap is 2.01 mm.

The valve is a DIN 300 and the adapter is probably not bottomed out or the o-ring could be bad. The hole is designed to allow leakage to bleed off to the side rather than through the threads. Just shut the valve and remove your adapter to inspect the DIN face o-ring.
Easy peasy!

Thanks got a call from Joe's guy yesterday that that's what it was! Looks like it was loose and caused the oring to rip in half. Will be calling them back today to find out which size oring I need! Glad it was something so simple
