:D. Had this gun for a week now. Got about 300 pellets thru her. Wow,I like this gun. Seems to shoot everything pretty nice if I do my part. Was shooting JSB exact heavy 10.2 today 5 shots inside a dime at 25 yards. This is with the much less than optimal optima scope and 1 piece medium mount.. I have a 3-12x44 UTG swat on the way-30mm tube with rings and a flexible/coated cleaning rod too. Still haven't cleaned the barrel. Can't wait to hunt squirrels with it but I did dust a collared dove at 45 yards👍🏿Still get smoke occasionally. Can someone tell me what size screw I need to replace the front one with to lighten the trigger? My calibrated figinger is reading 4.5lbs on the trigger.

You are doing quite well with that rifle, already. I was going to use a different screw in mine, but the more I shot it , the smoother & lighter it got. I also put some good gun lube on the trigger . I believe it is M3x.5x15mm screws. Be careful & hold on to the barrel every time, when cocking to make sure it locks back , AFTER using different screws !!

Spring or Vortex?
I love the Hatsan 95. Great balance. Settles right on target in your arms.

My brother has a Diana 34 that the barrel slipped out of his hand while cocking it. Turned the barrel into a banana immediately-ha!
This hatsan is the QE nitro piston-nice big solid shroud to grab onto for cocking. It's like going to the gym cocking it -good for shoulders. I like the challenge of holding it the same to get the best accuracy out of it. I was thinking of trying a pcp but to me the expense seems silly for all the gear you need, and anybody can shoot them accurately-boring. I like that I can throw my rifles in the van and go hunting. When I get old and can't do much I will go pcp.
It snowed here this morning so looks like a day to fire up the Jotul wood stove, crack the window open, and spend the day shooting. Scope quality is the only downer currently

Vortex- wanted to try one and like it. Beautiful stock and no sign of substandard quality any where. I would post pics but can't right now.

Yeah, the Vortex 95's have it all.
Just keep checking the screws (including the ones on the Optima scope and the scope stop! They have a tendency to fall out into the grass, never to be seen or heard from again!

Today I found out it likes the H&N barracuda hunter extreme 9.57 grain. Anyone try these on game?

If you haven't seen this yet, here's the video on adjusting your trigger... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymvmuEVVLDs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymvmuEVVLDs)
You can actually get it down fairly light without changing that screw for a longer one, then just shoot. With use, they lighten up and get smoother as the parts wear in and you may find you don't want to.
I have a Model 87 QE .177 that, if you stuck it in a Model 95 stock, the only way to tell the difference would be the safety and the badging on the rifle, everything else is the same. I haven't tried the Hunter Extremes in it but it does seem to favor H&N Sniper Medium 8.5gr (1 squirrel so far but only because he wandered close to my target lane so I pegged him), the H&N FTT's and although they're pricy the RWS R-10 Match Heavy 8.2gr. The RWS Superdomes also shoot pretty well in it.
Like Whirly said, watch the stock screws, the back one behind the trigger is the most likely to loosen up and a dab of Blue Loctite will easily fix that if it does and if you're using the included Optima scope and your groups start going bad, it might well be that scope as they have a bad habit of not holding up well on springers.
Hope some of this helps a little :)

Thanks Steve on the trigger info I had read that you needed a longer screw. I turned the forward one clockwise like the book said but only got a little on it. Screw was so tight I feared I would break it off if I wasn't careful so I left it. I will look
At the video thanks for the tip. Yeah the hunter extremes pretty much hit the same poi as the 10.3 JSB heavies and close to same accuracy if not the same. Surprisingly, it shoots every thing pretty fair even cph 's! I need a pellet setter to try the super domes and I don't have one

I've used these in .177 out of my 760 pumper, PP700 PCP pistol, and 1377 on sparrows. They work great, though my PP700 is quite unpicky when it comes to pellets- about the only thing it doesn't shoot well are Eun Jin 16.1 grain domes and -LOL- CPL 10.5 grain box domes.
My Hatsan 95QE in .25 also likes them, and I've turned some sparrows practically inside out with body shots (about the only pest I'll take a body shot on). Still, my 95 has a decided preference for Polymags, so that was my main pesting/plinking round up until a couple weeks ago.
It might be worth trying Crow Magnums as well. My 95QE certainly likes those, as well as the Air Arms Diabolo domes. Right now I'm torn between Polys and the AA domes as to which I like more for plinking. If we actually have a dry-ish weekend I'd like do more testing, though I need to buy another thrift-store skillet for a gong target.
I'm thinking of getting some H&N Sniper Magnums for my Hatsan. They work wonderfully in my .177 guns, and while not as accurate as the Beeman Silver Arrows nor Skenco Newboys, they are every bit as good as the JSBs Exact domes and RWS wadcutters.
For adjusting the Quattro trigger, use the M3-.50 metric screw. I opted for 16mm long, as I can shorten if needed. 99¢ for a little container with 12 screws.

I just use a golf tee or stereo jack to seat the pellets that the skirts stick out to far from the lead.

Peter, you are a wealth of info. I'd read about a lot of these rounds like the poly mags. You might have saved me from having ten tins of pellets I can't use. On the screws, we're talking about the screw closest to the barrel end right?
BTW I'm having so much fun I've shot half a tin of the JSB heavies which it really likes. I'll post pics when I get to 20 posts. Hope I am not disappointed in this utg scope when it comes in, but it had the side focus and good ratings. Was set on a hawke.

Kevin- I was using a bic pen to seat mine- works good for everything but the super domes because the skirt sticks out so far. I was thinking of turning something on the lathe that will go inside the pellet base, but put a shoulder to control seating depth. A lot of work I know but they may shoot good out of the 50s too . Ya got me thinking now. Wish I had a chrony so I could baseline this thing

Yep-the back screw in the trigger guard came loose.

Those 95's are pretty rifles.

Yesterday my cleaning kit and new scope came in. I cleaned the barrel after installing the new utg 3-12x44 swat. It's my first side focus with the 60 mm wheel. Nice. Power is pretty nice and useable up to 12x. Range seems accurate to my calibrated eyeball-ha! I do have a target setup at a measured 25 yards and the focus to range readout is spot on. Had some more smoking out of the barrel after cleaning, so I shot it some more to settle it down, then dusted a collared dove just for grins at 50 yards-so far so good.

I do not have a Hatsan 95, yet. I can feel one coming though. Just have not decided between .25 or a .22.
I do have the Hatsan 135 QE Vortex in .22 and that thing is a beast, but man do I love it.
Power and accuracy is a sweet combination.
I do have a question. Anyone have the 95 with the old muzzle break not the new QE?
How loud is it inside? Outside would not bother me but as I get older I find myself shooting in my basement more and more simply because it is so easy. Don't have to load the car, drive, unload, etc.
I would "like" to be able to save the extra dollars for the QE. I am on a pretty small fixed income so even the 189$ vs 219 at PA does make a difference.
Although I suspect I should just bite the bullet and get the QE.
The other thing is I can not decide between .25 and .22. 22 is a lot cheaper to shoot pellet wise. I have a good stock of CPHP's, 5k and more on the way. The .25 would raise prices pellet wise from 1.8 ish ea up to 5-6 cents each. Add another penny and you can shoot a .22 LR powder burner with more speed, similar accuracy, more power, and semi auto, just pull the trigger.
Course I can't shoot that in the basement.
I suspect the Mod 95 cocks a bit easier than the 135 QE Vortex also. It truly is a beast, you have to want to shoot something to expend the energy.

My 95 is a .25 cal with the older style muzzle break and now a springer, not a Vortex (that's another story and a not so smart move on my part...lol) and at least to me it's not that loud inside but I only took a couple shots into a box of rags after doing some cleaning and lubing the parts I could reach without totally tearing the rifle apart. I live with my 80 year old father and he didn't come looking to see what I was doing but easiest and best way to find out is take a few shots on your indoor range and see what you think.

Glad you are using heavier ,177 pellets. :D
Mine still smokes occasionally, and this after about 1200 rounds. :(
Keep your stock screws and scope rings, single mount? tight! :o
I ordered an extra set of stock mounting screws, the ones Hatsan uses are pretty soft.
Enjoy-
