Hi All, I was following the posts started by Old Corps regarding a SCBA tank and adapter for a SCUBA fill station. I bought one of these 45 minute tanks also with a mfg date of 11/08. Aside of the safety issues involved in filling PCP's and refilling the tank, I had a huge issue for me of finding someone to hydro test my new tank. So I called a local rural fire house to see how they re-certified their breathing tanks. I now have a willing supplier nearby. Most rural fire departments use Air One Equipment, Inc in South Elgin, IL. Their web address is AOE.net. I called Matt there at 847-289-9000 (888-247-1204 toll free) to get the details. They are open M - F 8am - 5pm. They charge $19.50 for the hydro test which includes removing and re-installing the valve. They will give you a 4.5K psi fill after the test for an additional $15. So for $35 you are out the door with a 5 year certification and a full tank. Turn around time depends on where you are in the queue. If 5 departments drop off 5 tanks each, you will be #26 in the queue. So the range can be 1 day or 10 days, just depends. The cost is very good based on what I learned about my area. Thanks to Old Corps, Taso1000, and TerryH for their streams of PM's trying to help me get my new tank tested. The also were a great help understanding the process of connecting the scuba yoke to SCBA and the precautions involved. The GTA members come to the rescue again. This Darkside has no cure does it. Ha. Dave

Nice!! You did well. My hydro place won't fill so I gotta go to the paintball store. Hope to have my tanks back by mid week. Guess I'm gonna use the scuba yoke adapter that came with the tanks for now. I got my $22 eBay yoke and hose today. Getting the eye from the wife. ::) Probably need to give the PayPal account and FedEx guy a rest for a while before buying a real fill station. lol...

I passed along the hydro test information I found for Air One Equipment, Inc in South Elgin to my paintball shop in Aurora, Aurora Paintball. They were happy to get the info on a new source for scuba and scba tank testing that they didn't know about. Tim sent me an email saying to bring in the new scba tank for a free refill. I thought that was very nice of him to do that. Dave

Hi All,
I was looking through the Ninja Paintball site and found out they are located in Crystal Lake, IL and they also do hydrotesting.
http://www.ninjapaintball.com/hydro (http://www.ninjapaintball.com/hydro)
I don't know if you can drop off the tank or it has to be shipped.
Thanks,
Taso

They test them in-house.
Free air too if you have a Ninja tank. I'm lucky to live only 5 minutes away from them.
