Looks like Sun Optics has made their own new version of the shoebox not much info on it yet,
not even confirmed if they will go into production but cool note about them in Tom Gaylords Blog:

Looks like it was made to work from a car if need so you could hook it up to your truck and have a fully portable shooting system.

He said it can run on 12V? That is interesting.

Looks very interesting, i will watch for reviews. This could steal a lot of shoebox and air venturi thunder! Especially if a precompressor isnt needed.

My guess is that it is self contained and fill rates will be lower than a shoebox max. My thought is it would mainly be to fill guns directly. If priced between hand pumps and the SB it can fill a gap. I think the portability (12V) is a great feature, as long as it doesn't need more than 30amps. Using a 24V motor and power inverters it might need more than that, though. But most vehicles, including sxs and atvs, won't have an outlet than can provide more. Have to wait for the details.

By the looks of the filter housing in pictures, it looks like a low side drying filter rather than a high pressure molecular sieve.
If it turns out to have just a low side filter, the output air probably won't be dry as from a good high pressure side drying filter.
Well it could, but you'd have to replace the low side media before it reaches even a tiny faction of its total capacity.
A high pressure side filter would be ideal.
