I already have my talonp in a MadDog stock but found out quickly that I needed a larger air tank. I ordered a 22ci tank from Joe B and a complete valve assembly from AirForce along with a one piece top hat from Talon Tunes. I think a barrel will be next.

Good luck, Roger! I just received my TalonP but chose to purchase basic mods like a TT Gen 6 shroud, quick change top hat, trigger spring, o-rings for maintenance, and the buttstock (free from pyramid air). My next mod is between a larger 22ci tank or a mad dog stock. Both would end up costing about the same after the dust settles. What would you recommend? Can you let me know by how much your OAL increases with the larger tank?
Let me tell ya, the trigger spring made a night and day difference on the tactile feel of the trigger. I haven't tested the gun for groups yet, but I'm sure the lighter spring will help in this arena. The QCTH is amazing, especially when combined with the inserts. Currently running the small insert and getting 20+ shots at 6 power. at around 668fps with JSB Exact Kings. The buttstock is actually very solid and feels just right for me. I'm a smaller dude, so the maddog stock may not be such a necessity now that I think about it.
Also, swapped the end cap and spin-lok set screws with 10-32 knurled bolts that can be tightened by hand, making it much faster to install/remove tank or shroud without having to reach for an Allen key. I'm also thinking of doing the same with the AF stock, to make it as QD as possible.
Thanks for sharing,
-Abe
I would love to stay within 25" OAL w/o the shroud and below 35" with the shroud. Man, I love this little sucker. Keep me posted with further developments.

I have my talonp running at 864fps average a string of 20 shots. Top hat is 0.990 with o-ring under the top hat. The new tank will not add to the OAL. As I said it is in a Mad Dog stock it does not extend past the stock. The new tank will increase my shot count. The 22ci tank is $49. A complete spin-loc valve assembly is $121 and change. With my next tank I will remove the valve from the 13ci stock tank and use it in the larger tank to save the $121. Did you put the new spring in your trigger? If so how hard was it to do and from where did you receive it? I like the idea of the knurled bolts, I would like to hear more about it what length did you used?

I believe knurled bolt that I use to fasten the soin-loc and swap the shroud/end cap is 10-32 x 3/8 or 5/16 stainless steel. They work great so far add unintentional bling to the pistol. Took the talonp and my wife...wait, took my wife and the talonp to the high country today. We are talking about in the woods, snowfall, 32 degree weather and the talon (and wife) keep up with my every move. The bolts held tight. Banged her around a little bit and held up tight! No sign of budging so I think this was a worthy test of the talonp so far and the bolts.
Trigger was simple. Remove hand guard. Remove safety finger tab and trigger shoe with 1/16 allen wrench. Remove trigger assembly supoort bar and be sure to apply some pressure while unbolting. You will see several springs, sear, and trigger. Gently lift spring closest to trigger and replace with new spring. Reassemble and enjoy! Shot a few small pinecones out to 60 yards and 80-ish in the snow while kneeling. This spring makes a world of difference. Got it from talon tunes along with the extra orings and shroud.
I gotta save for the maddog stock!

Thanks for the information I will be exploring this. I am not sure if a knurled bolt will work where the spin-loc set screw is using the MadDog stock the stock does have a cut away portion there but not sure if it is enough for the bolt to seat. The Mad Dog stock will be a great addition if you are using it as a carbine. Your accuracy will improve. I got my valve from AirForce yesterday and my Talon Tunes top hat will be here Monday. Can't wait to put it all together and run some numbers but that may be awhile temperature is in the single digits here.

I haven't done a lot to my TalonP, yet! Thinking of making a 4" moderator to it to keep the overall length down or clipping 2" off the barrel to keep it all inside the TalonP frame. Thinking of trying a heavier hammer, or adding a heavier weight if I cut 2" off the barrel. Going to make my own trigger guard this time. One that will hold an AR-15 grip, but different from Adam's great trigger guard. I am using a Tasco 30mm ProPoint for close in work near the house.
I had to order a Buttstock from Talon Tunes when I got my P last summer. Nice deal the Pryamyd is giving one away with purchase!

Roger,
It looks like you made a good choice with the .25 cal TalonP over the 22. cal Prod for ease of modding without having open up the valve, transfer port and barrel ports. You get great shoot count with the fpe to knock the heck out a big coon or even a yote within range.
The TalonP beats the heck out of a Prod, that hurts me to say that...LOL

AF uses L-W barrels, which typically have a choked muzzle, so you'll probably not want to shorten it at the muzzle end!
I have a TalonP...actually it's a "TalonC" carbine now, because I designed and 3-D printed a nylon stock for it. That and removing the safety toggle so I can decock the gun is all I've done to it so far. Oh year, I did add a Mako front sling stud / Harris Bipod mount on two UTG 11mm to Weaver adapters to the forward lower rail, which I greatly prefer to the AF solution for a sling or bipod.

Ok my new tank has been on for awhile now along with the TT one piece top hat. I sprayed the tank with four coats of black Plasti Dip to take the edge off the cold metal tank it worked well. I am getting 30 plus shots with the average of 865fps o-ring under the top hat no insert and no power on the power wheel. The pellet that I was using is the JSB King 25gr. I also put a 18in 12mm heavy LW barrel on last week and the fps went very high up over a 1000fps with the Kings 25gr. Got some JSB Heavies 34gr and brought the fps back down to the lower to mid 900s. So I decided to order some .250 34.7gr slugs from Nick at Nielsen. Have not shot them yet but I have read some good feed back concerning his slugs in Air Force LW barrels.
