Title: Anyone make a P-rod wood stock for $100 and change?
Post by: Crosfire on December 27, 2016, 03:37:48 PM
Don't want a $500 stock on a $400 AG.  Some do....no disrespect.  I just think there would be a market for an ergonomic wood carbine P-rod stock.  Have I just not done enough research?

Help appreciated,

Crosfire

I checked on GMAC and they show that they are out of stock.  I've never dealt with them before but it seems that the Prod is very popular in the states and there would be a big demand for these stocks, whether or not that is the reason that they are out of stock I wouldn't know but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on their website from time to time to see if they're back in stock.

I've bought from GMAC before. Great vendor but the shipping time from England is trying on one's patience at times.

Pretty sure Alchemy Airwerks has wooden tocks and prod fore grips listed on eBay.

Edit- Here are the listings-

Check the green crosman forum for Tom West he builds reasonable stocks. I have also seen his stocks listed on e-bay

Meeting your $100 goal will be a challenge, especially if you want a fully finished bolt-on.

Tom West over on the green airgun forum does some stocks for the Prod/1720T.  They are in the $150-$175 range though.   The syn stock that is posted above, has some characteristics of his style.  My guess is that is just bedliner over wood.  I have one on a 1720T, which looks gorgeous, but pistol grip is on the "fat" side.

Steve C does masterpiece work, but way out of that price target.

The Boyd's stocks for Disco, like the evolution and barracuda need modification to fit the Prod.  Air gauge hole diff location, need mrod trigger, etc.

Some of the Chinese stocks can work but need some work like the Boyds.

The wooden foregrip above along with a matching insert for the skeleton stock, might be close to your price, but might not be enough wood for you.

I don't know if the new Discos-R-US is still doing inletting of Boyd's blaster, but they were about double your goal on price.   I have one for a long airtube Prod, and like it.  It too, need a Mrod trigger.

I checjed GMAC least night as well.  I sent them an email regarding their inventoey.

I agree with Underwelmed.  I have purchased from them.  Geeat folks.  Communication via email was a little slow.  Shipping about 2 weeks to San Diego, but the price was reasonable.  I'll let folks know about avaiability.

This one is perfect (except I don't know why they didn't raise the cheek weld).  Maybe I can talk them into a bulk order.  Anyone interested?

This guy sells them for just over 100$ as I recall.   I have been thinking about one myself.  I traded emails with him when he listed one on ebay.  He said to email him and he could make any of the ones shown, though it was early last year when we traded emails.
