Years ago I bought a Daisy Power line 1000 Springer from a friend who was moving. Have recently started shooting it, its in. 177, synthetic stock, fiber optic sights, very powerful, very loud. Has the look of a Hats an, and is marked "made in Turkey" Its about 15-20 years old, should I be oiling it? Were these made by Hats an and marketed by Daisy? Nice gun, just wondering?

I believe your rifle is basically the same as the Hatsan 1000 series. Hatsan has made rifles & pistols for other brands such as Webley, Daisy and others.

You are correct. Winchester contracted Hatsan to build them and they were marketed through Daisy. Bought mine new 13 years ago and have put many rounds through it. Very powerful and accurate. Hated the trigger but after a few mods really like it. Very important to keep the stock screws tight or the stock will crack.

Thanks for the info. I will be putting a scope on it this spring, take off the front sight, and look for a moderator. This gun is noisey, too loud to shoot in my back yard. I will take a look at the trigger, mine is a bit stiff, but it may break in with use.

Replace the trigger adjustment screw behind the trigger with a 3mm x 10mm long screw and you won't believe the difference it will make. There are a lot of threads for Hatsan's explaining the mod.

They are worth tuning, just ask Dez. I detuned one I had to make it a nice smooth shooter. I also did a full trigger job and it was quite nice.

The trigger mod is critical. I did the mods then removed the trigger screw and added a small piece of Teflon between the trigger and the lower sear as most of the trigger's hard pull is caused by the screw dragging on the sear. Smooth 2 # trigger pull now.

Not to hijack this thread but what did you do to detune it? I bought one from a pawn shop a few months back for like $12 but it is loud, has a terrible trigger and has more twang when you pull the trigger than 6 country music songs. I haven't chronnied it yet but I it is a very hard shooter.
Thanks, Charlie

If you want any tips on tuning the trigger, let me know.

You shoot it long enough it will beat your shoulder enough to bruise it. It's the noisiest break barrel I have ever owned.

Be careful what you ask for. 😁. All jokes aside I will probably take you up on the offer. Thanks!

Good find!
Around here the pawn shops put the prices for everything @ barely under new. They make money on gold, payday loans, and deadbeats trying to hide money from their families. The goods in the store are just a front.
