Title: First time 100 yard .25 ( update target and pics )
Post by: oneshot61 on December 11, 2016, 11:38:26 PM
Got to the range very late this evening, and since its a private property with one shooting table, I had to wait on another shooter to finish up first. I've never shot my .25 ace at 100 yards before and thought I'd give it a try just for fun. Shooting bbt 50 grain. Rushing to get a few shots in and scope set for 100 yards I made a rookie mistake. I didn't tighten down the picatinny to weaver mount firmly and could not get a consistent shot to save my life. Finally figured it out and feeling kind of dumb, ran what I could down range. After looking at this group I see I need to start at 2750 instead of 3000 and even though im getting great grouping at 50 I may need to try .252 instead of .251... maybe. Im going to try again tomorrow morning for a quick magazine before heading out. I am out of air, so ill have to hand pump the 400cc to 2750 ::), but thankfully not from empty. So, this is my first shots at 100 yards from the .25 with .251 bbt, rested on my range bag. Ill have range pics, gun and target pics on my next try, but thought it only fair to post the first ones.

Quick try again today with pics. As you can see, I didn't blow the target up to full size. But I'm happier with this group than before, less fliers. Soon I will try .252 when I can get my hands on some. Not sure if this qualifies for anything?? Btw top 2 holes is 3 shots, 2 in the bottom one
