First 100 yard shoot with D460 with the Vortek Hi Yield kit in it. I have chrony'd the rifle at a little over 27 ft lbs.
The first image is a group with the JSB Predator pellets, at 50 yards, benched, rifle resting on my hand on a sandbag.
It is really hard to see but there is a group at 5 o'clock of the large black bullseye of 12 shots about two inches by three inches wide, in the second photo below. I had to leave and couldn't grab the target for a closeup so I shot it through the spotting scope!!
For the second photo, I was holding on a bench with the rifle on my hand on a sandbag with the cross hairs on the bull in the orange square on the top right of the target. First time I ever tried this. I used the 16x scope and I figure I could shrink the group to about the size of the orange target now that I know where the POI is and what pellet it likes. BTW these are the JSB Predators in .22 15gr.
what is the key to getting good results at 100 yards with a .22 springer of German origin?? Is my 2"x3" group good? bad?

well my trigger {T05} is very good and breaks very light which I think is very important for long range shooting and the pellets, for example the must group at least a dime size group at 30yds or smaller, I like them to be one hole if possible and your grip on the rifle has to be consistant I find my 460 likes a light hold on the fore end this gives the rifle a more natural movement with the spring, I hold my rifle just enough to keep it from moving around and no tighter, also I try not to try to hard cause I find I shoot alot better and more accurate when I don't focus on trying to be super accurate, more like a relaxed state of zin, so don't stress yourself trying to over focus on it, let it be a natural flow!

Also those pellets you are using my not group any better at those distances, I find that the round nose pellet arn't affected by airflow like the deep hollow point pellets are at distances.

2-3 in groups at 100 yds with a spring gun is pretty good. You may get better groups with a domed pellet. In 22 the beeman ftt and hn fts 14.66 work best in my 350.
