I was out shooting the refurbed Ruger Blackhawk this evening and got to wondering about the differences between it and the refurbed Titans. I know the major difference is the Ruger is a spring gun while the Titan is a piston gun. Can anybody do some comparision info between the two guns? My Blackhawk shoots great and I have really been enjoying it open-sighted. I was really pleased this afternoon to be getting golfball-size groups opensighted at 20 yards with my old eyes. I even dinged the coke can at 35 yards a couple of times but not consistently.
What are the major ergonomic differences between the Titan and the Blackhawk, especially weight, firing cycle and noise? My Blackhawk is .177 but I would be interested in the .22 for the Titan.

Well, I don't have a Titan, but did have an AirHawk and a Diana 34, the gun the Ruger (Bam 25) is based on. Probably a bit better stock trigger (copy of the Diana T05), time tested design for which there is a Vortek kit available, as well as JM products. Good hunting gun. The Titan has a thumbhole stock and the trigger needs replacing. Titan is in .22. Not sure about the Ruger but the 25 is. Both are very nice guns.

Don't know about the Blackhawk, but do know about the Titan. The Titan can be upgraded to quite a few of the Crosman stocks, like the Quest, or Summit if you like wood, or the G1 synthetic if you choose. The Titan GP comes with the new 'SOLID', not stamped trigger which can be adjusted quite nicely, but if you choose , you can install the GRT-III, and it comes in .22, which I've found to be accurate and hard hitting...... I have both, have shot the titan more, had a tune done on it and a GT3 trigger put in it. It shoots very smooth. The ruger has great bang for the dollar also it is in 177 cal. versus 22 for the titan. Haven't shot the ruger much and it will need to smooth out before I mount a scope on it. You can't go wrong with either gun. Have not compared these at distance. For a $100 just flip a coin.

My Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt caliber hits a LOT harder than my Titan, but the neighbors don't like it when I fire it off in the back yard. ;)

LOL! Steve, I'm not sure my Ruger Blackhawk is the same as yours!!! In fact, I'm sure of it!
I'm jealous, mine's only a .177.

There is a large amount of people here who love their Titans. I don't know how you could turn down a refurbished from AGD.
