Title: FAS AR611 Sporter
Post by: SpiralGroove on November 23, 2016, 01:08:59 PM
Hey Guys,
Does anyone have any experience with this gun?  For $1K this seems like a great deal ;D.
My questions are:
- Does the gun come "standard" with a LW barrel?
- Can its regulator be dialed up a bit for more FPE?
- Must you remove the 200cc air cylinder to fill?
- On closer inspection, how nice is the exterior finishing?

Any help is appreciated :D 8).

FAS is owned by Chiappa, which is Italian.  I shot several Chiappa powderburners, and if the air rifle is anything like the smokepoles, it'll be accurate.  I believe another member here has the FAS 6004 and has been thrilled with the performance.

My thought is that if it shoots extremely accurately, who cares who makes the barrels.  I am fond that it comes with iron sights, though.  That seems to be a rarity on most PCPs in this price range.

I'm interested to see what people have to say about them to but I know Steve at AEAC
is going to review one soon 8)
I have a feeling they are going to be very accurate and a good FT option.

Guys,
I had previously seen a review on a FAS 611S, which weighted 5.7 pounds, had a LW barrel and was very accurate.
It was reviewed by Gun mart - sub 1/2" groups at 50 yards with many pellets, with JSB's - 1/4".

Any further info on this?  Looks very appealing other than the remove-to-fill tube.  AGD has them for $999.
