I see reference to "buttons from Maccari".
What are these?

Small buttons tuners glue on a springer piston to help center it in the compression chamber to smooth out the shooting cycle.

Hey Dave,

They appear to be made from Delrin Sheeting and are punched out about the diameter of a paper punch (cutout-> ;)).
They're "superglued" around the piston ends (3 per side; think 3 legged stool).  Their thickness removes most of the slop that would otherwise be around the piston as it travels inside the receiver/compression chamber.

They're used to increase shot consistency 8).
