Hi all,
Copied from the Air Gun Gate:
Just to let you know all good things must come to an end....the GTA Target Shooting Matches for the 2016 season are OVER. :'( :'( It was a very exciting season, lots of new shooters joined in for the fun and challenge....some shooters from seasons past came back....and we lost a few regulars. Matches were opened and ended, and scores were checked, tabulated and posted by marty2/Martin and gamo2hammerli/Stanley. And as a special bonus we had extra volunteer help from JimQwerty123/Jim who created colorful graphs in EACH match, so the competitors can see their progress (Or regress) in a blink of the eye.
And we thank Gene and Bob, the men who started this site so air gun connoisseurs, plinkers, hunters and of course target shooters from all over the world can have a website to enjoy and share their stories and knowledge. Many thanks to ezman604/Dave for running things now and giving us a free-hand.
Many thanks to all the participants who supported us and made the matches challenging and successful.
As in years past, we encourage you to start up "Off-Season" matches so air gun shooters can have fun and keep in practice. The member/person who start a match shall be in charge of it...open, end, tabulate etc. Just use a different title than our regular matches to avoid confusion: i.e 2016 Off-Season 10M Air Rifle Match #1 or 2016 Off-Season 5M Air Pistol Match #1 etc. Start the thread/matches in the Target Shooting Discussion Gate .....I believe only moderators can start a thread in the "Regular" Target Shooting Gate.
See you next season.

It was a fun season. I only participated in a few matches (and didn't do so well :) ), but I really enjoyed the competition. Thanks to all those who participated and to all the admins who made this possible.

I enjoyed all of the matches this year. I didn't always get to participate Due to work but I sure enjoyed it when I had the chance to participate.
Thank you to Marty2 and gamo2hammerli for running the matches.
Marty2 indicated he will start up the off season matches in a couple of weeks. I believe he is doing the offseason 10M rifle and maybe on of the pistol matches. I told Marty that I would host the 10m casual match (50 foot casual moved indoor for the winter). I believe Norm already has a 30 yard offseason match open.
Please stop by and check them out.
