50 yds. The first group is with 7.33 and I tried a light hold with the rifle which obviously the FWB did not like so I switched to my "normal" hold for this rifle. From left AA 7.33, AA 7.9, AA 8.4 4.51 & a re-do of the AA 7.33

An elegant persision machine the 300s is. I am really getting into fine 10 meter rifles and the 300s is one of the tops. Nice shooting.

Nice shooting. I never stretched my FWB300S to 50yds, and I'm impressed with your shooting.
Does the front sight shadow in the scope or do you not notice it at all?
-
Yep those things will shoot real good,
Here are a couple of pics of the groups I tested out of one of mine. They can shoot much better than I can. On a non windy day, my brother and I were shooting my 50 yd range at 3/8" washers hanging from strings, we were hitting them every shot (JSB 7.33). Then a puff of wind would come along, you could watch the pellet veer off course...lol
5 shot groups,

Just a hint if your eye isn't completely centered.

Nice shooting!

Nice gun scope and shooting! Planning on getting the same leupold scope, what do you think about it? Is it enough for 50+ yards shooting?

Yes, I highly recommend the Leupy

Nice shooting! I'm liking the look of the gun more each day. 50 yds. is a long way for a tight group with a 9X scope, but I hear the FWB300s can't take too many different scopes...
I'm also a little surprised the pellet had enough energy to penetrate the cardboard at 50 yards. ;D
OK, OK. That last crack was made out of jealousy. Carry on!

Yes on the scope. I couldn't find a scope that didn't cover most of the loading point causing great difficulties in loading.
I got Clearidge 3-9x that was not only light but short!!! 11.5"
FYI, using HNRifle Match Finale pellets, I have shot 5 shot groups at 50' that are not even an oval hole. Looks like a cheat job on my part but are real!
I was also surprised at the good results at long range (50yd). The muzzle velocity with as 8.18gr flat point pellet (HN Rifle Match Finale) is about 565f/s. I have shot a couple chipmunks at 22yds with good results for me - not the chipmunks. Long ago, we shot beer cans at 30yd with a 300S with excellent results.
A question, are you using a round nose or point-end pellet? That may help explain with longer range results.
Cheers

All the Air Arms:7.33, 7.9 & 8.4gr are round nose. They are made by JSB and look like JSB counterparts but I usually find they shoot as good or better than JSBs. I have never had JSB out shoot the AirArms of the same weight & style.
Velocity for the 7.33gr was in the 670 fps, 7.9 in the 650s & the 8.4 640s.

You inspired me to bring out my 300S and shoot some pellets. Front rested on a bag, my elbows floating in a sitting position and using diopter sight.
One of two things is clear. Either I shoot better when I'm rested or it likes AA 7.87 pellets the best. Which pellets do you think yours likes best?
First row AA 7.87, second row JSB 7.87, first two third row JSB 7.33 and next two third row Falcons 7.33.

Out to 50yds, which is the longest I have shot, the 7.9 & 7.33 AA seem to be equal.
BTW, nice shooting!
