I'm having a bit of trouble with the trigger on my new (to me) Air Arms S400 MPR FT rifle. If I take up almost all the first stage of the trigger and then release it, it looses all resistance and there's no feel at all until hitting the second stage. If I only partially take up the first stage and release, the pressure/resistance remains normal.
Any suggestions about what is causing it and how to fix it?
Seems somewhat difficult to adjust the trigger because it cannot be adjusted outside of the gun (as my Rekord triggers can) and since the gun cannot be dry-fired without air (and noise) being shot.
Any tips?

With my MPR I remove the gun from the stock then I remove the side cover so I can see what is going when the screws are adjusted. It did make it much easier and took no time at all to get it exactly the way I like it. Just a touch of 1st stage and a nice 6 oz.2nd stage.
I bleed down the gun before starting so I can dry fire it without any air in the tube. I just do not like playing with the trigger adjustments with it firing a charge of air each time.

Thank you! That's great info! I'll give it a try in the morning.
Any way to easily bleed the air out of the cylinder?
