Made a trade with Mr. Longhunter for this beautiful Crosman 622 C02 Repeater. I wanted to begin a thread on it because you just don't see many of these. I know a few of you have them. It arrived at my house today via USPS. I had a chance to unbox it while I was home during my lunch hour but that is as far as I got with it. Looking forward to spending time with it this evening. I'll put some pictures and stats up as this thread progresses. For now, I was surfing around to gather info on it and ran across this page. Just thought I would share it to get things rolling.

Nice, can't wait to see it. What did you end up trading away, leg, arm, soul?

Naw. I let him off easy. It only cost him his .22 hatsan 95. It was dropped in my lap, for dirt cheap, ( 35 bucks ). I resealed it, and mentioned it to Bill, while I was at his place. I told him he had first dibs, at a reduced price. When he put the hatty up for sale, I thought why not ? So, we did the deal.
-
I didn't have a bunch in the hattie so we both got off easy. When he saw our vintage gun decor he knew it was where the 622 belonged..... right next to that Trapmaster 1100 XL.
-
Yeah, that and the fact that co2 don't work too good, this far north ;D. I think we both made out OK

Here in NC I can shoot my CO2 guns about ten months of the year. Bill can probably shoot year round. I bet he will be busting cans with his 622 in January.I like cold weather but it's nice being close to the mountains so I can drive up and get it when I want it.

Why is it that just when you have everything planned just the way you want it to go someone steps in and says something like..."we have no food in the house, we have to go grocery shopping"? Then I look in the cabinet and see 2 cans of potted meat, half jar of peanut butter, a loaf of bread that clearly has four slices that have nothing green on them yet and 3 crackers. I don't know about anyone else but I remember the day when those were staples. I believe I survived for over a year at one point on peanut butter and Budweiser and just look how I turned out...... perfect. So, I solidly stood my ground.... and after we got back from shopping we sat together on the sofa and watched a movie that I picked out...... from her list. But there is good news.... she hasn't stolen the 622 from me... yet.

Mr. Longhunter's Hattie went to the PO today. It's on it's way to it's new home. I drove away from the PO with the feeling that this 622 is all mine... lock, stock and barrel. BTW... I did sneak out for a couple clips and it looks like .22 Daisy Wadcutters might just be one of my GO TO pellets. Tick Tock Baby.... 4 hours to go....

I bet she hasn't shot it yet!
Mine likes Crosman HP's and Domes. I haven't tried the Destroyer's or Points?

Thanks Bryan... those are exactly the pellets I'm hoping it likes best.

Pics, or it didn't happen ;D. There. Someone had to say it.

Yeah, Yeah, I hear ya.

Sorry for the delay... this one is on hold for a short time. It developed a leak and I have a few other projects ahead of it. The first being a Yamaha Grizzly 600 4x4 rebuild for my neighbor. Another being a 140 for a co-worker. I reckon commitments come before personal pleasures. I have the 622 soaking in a few drops of Bars Leak transmission sealer recommended by Tom Gaylord. Scott has also given me a couple tips. Just a matter of the time to get to it. I will try to put a couple pics up... sure is Purdy.

Where's the leak coming from?
-
As soon as the C02 is pierced there is a continued slow leakage inside the gun. You can hear it. Again, I just don't have the time to attend to it right now. It's no biggie... tinkering is part of the game for me.
-
Sometimes a little too much oil can cause a leak at the doughnut seal and shooting the gun to remove the excess oil solves the problem. Unlike a pumper most of mine work best pretty dry. Also some of my CO2 guns have a sweet spot when tightening and I have to back off a little to get it to seal.

Makes sense... I did just put oil on a C02 before the leak developed. Either way, I'll figure it out. I like the gun too much to let it sit long.... lol
-
Shoot it dry for a couple of carts. I oiled the one that was in it. That held for two weeks. I shot it a couple of times, before I boxed it up, just to make sure it was righteous.
-
And it was still charged when I received it. Clearly the issue began after I shot several carts thru it (3 or 4).
-
BTW... sorry I missed your call Scott.

No problem. Did you get the pics I sent you??
