I had the wonderful opportunity to go pigeon hunting at a dairy farm. While walking around the farm hunting. We were moving in and out under the hay and corn barns, back and forth betwieen the 200 yard feeding barns. The pigeons a starlings started congregating on the far end of the feeding barn. My friend stated, I'm going to take a long shoot in hope to scare the birds off the end of the barn with the ring of the pellet on the tin roof. Getting them flying a round and hopfully landing with in range. I used the rangefinder, found the end of the barn at 180 yard. He lined up with hold over, using his FX Royal 400. He let the Pellet fly! I'm here to say, one of the starling flopped over and rolled of the roof. I could have never made a flow up shoot to match that shoot. Even he said that was the longest and luckiest shoot he had ever made. Would he or I say he needs to be in the 150 plus club? No, not this time. Next time, if this happens in the furture. Yes, that man should have his name on the books as a 150 yard shooter. Joe
