Title: XS B-21 Seals
Post by: Artie on September 01, 2016, 06:51:21 PM
My B21 is due for new seals. Does anyone know of a current supplier for the piston & breech seals or are RWS48 seals suitable?  Thanks, Artie.

I used a Diana piston seal on mine.

If the Diana seals work, I generally get my seals from Air Rifle Headquarters.

Vortek is also an option.

B3 breach seal will probably work in it. If the the piston seal is the type snaps over the end of the piston the B3 piston seal will probably work.

Thanks folks. I haven't fired it in several years till a few days ago. The breach seal is soft, deteriorating and stuck to the barrel, remaining there after I test fired it. May as well change both.

It will use the same seals as the Diana side levers including breech seal.

Years ago I had a .22 B21/22 sidelever and IIRC picked up better than 40 fps (w/ mid weight pellets) and a much better firing cycle with the addition of Macarri parts (used the stock spring). The stock piston seal was noticeably undersized.

I often wish I had kept that gun............

I'm retired Army and grew up with a gun, hunting since I was seven. Never fired a pellet/bb gun growing up, the old man would never allow me to. I was 50+ before touching one, the B21 we're discussing. My first pellet rifle. Googled BAM B21, tore it down, polished, tuned, cussed and caressed it. But mainly I cussed it. Closeted until 12-15 pellet rifles/years later and I'm digging around in the closet for something... Now here we are. Wished mine was a 22.
