Title: Leaking qb79, where to look at?
Post by: pllagunos on August 23, 2016, 11:12:54 PM
That's right guys my qb79 is leaking, and BAD! I don't have a clue where it's leaking from since it's very slow, but in 3 hours it went from 1500 to 1100 psi.

Soapy water is your best friend right now.
 Check at all sealing points

you say 1500 to 1100, so is this a PCP converted gun ?
if so, know that there is a tiny hole on the back side of the pressure gauge that you will want to check there too. very common for the gauges to eventually develop a leak internally and leak out this hole.

Yes its HPA, actually the leak started ever since I removed the pressure gauge for cleaning (some dirt got inside). Does this mean I have to buy a new gauge?

if the leak started after you removed the gauge, then it stands to reason you did not get a good seal on the threads upon installation. Did you use fresh/new Teflon tape when you reinstalled it ?

Do the soapy water test around the gauge threads.
