Title: My German's performance HW97
Post by: barcabarca on April 08, 2011, 02:42:09 AM
My HW97-Lucky- shoots a little slow (it is stock) and wears a 8-32x44 Leapers. She is pretty accurate in .177 and only shoots at Paper or Unruly field targets.  She loves CPH and JSB Exact Heavy's. She shoots the JSBH at 735fps avg about 12.8 FPE.

at 10 yards off hand below.   Sometimes I crave a PCP, but I get over it after shooting these two in my yard for a bit and feeling the ahhhh of the relatively small groups..

When it gets serious, I grab the D460 in .22 with a Vortek kit.  It provides 27-28 FPE.  I hope some hungry racoons will show bad judgement this year in my wife's garden...

Thanks for letting me share..

Thanks for sharing, you have some nice guns! and if they shoot good and accurate thats all that counts power isan't everything and shot placement is everything.

Interesting stock colour - that's not a millennium green stock, is it?

I'm currently lusting after a blue laminate .177 or .20 HW97, but my bank account saws otherwise.

The stock was modified from..well "stock" ... by the previous owner.  He sanded off the checkering and then stained it green.  It's actually kind of cool and makes it unique... I just wish it made me shoot more accurately!!
