Title: I have stepped into the inner circle.
Post by: 45Bravo on June 19, 2016, 02:01:30 PM
Here is my submission.

I got up early, went to the range, not a whisper of breeze.

Had to make a paper sun shade for the scope, the gnats were out in force..

I shot 4 targets, 2 scored for the club.

102 yards

One is 2. 1/4 inches,
The other, my main submission is 1 7/8 inch

Shot with an airforce Talon, tricked out with a lot of R&L parts.

Using jsb 18 gr exacts in the gray label.

I assume your 5th shot on the second target is under the ruler?.... I would be better if we could see it, IMO.... Looks like it should qualify as Sharpshooter?....

It is partly under the ruler, It's the white blotch right at the 1 inch Mark, but I will shoot another photo of the target without the ruler when I get home.

Sorry for that, I am just happy I made it.
I have shot probably 20 targets over the last few weeks trying to get in, different pellets, different weights, sorting them, (something I have never bothered with before)

And yes tommy, even a blind dog finds a bone every so often.

Two other club members showed up while I was shooting, they were impressed with the accuracy and power of the air gun.

They were very interested in how well the shroud worked, I let them try a few shots. I told them the hold over and they were able to hit my steel plate hanging on the target stand.

the lumberjack is tied up in idpa.
He would enjoy it.

Keep me posted how you and Ron are doing.
One day, I hope to make it there.

Here's the target without the ruler.

Sorry for that, I thought the fifth hole was obvious, but I was looking at the target in person.

Thanks, I had downloaded the target, and started shooting, but didn't read the part about having different rankings.

I thought it was just sub 4 inches and you were in.

I thought the hard part was over, I could just sit back and enjoy the show.

But now apparently I have to wring out some more accuracy, either on my part, or the guns part.
I have already sorted my tin of pellets by weight, something I have never bothered doing until trying this.
Now it looks like I have to invest in a pellet gauge for head sizes.
