Title: Help! My Evanix Ml .45 keeps jamming!
Post by: Dan Weinberg on June 13, 2016, 03:55:34 AM
I have always used air venturi 200 grain hollow points and now they are jamming. Could it be maybe my barrel is dirty? What do I do to clean it either way?

As in jamming in the barrel while you shoot or jamming while you feed them? What size are they, my barrel slugged at .454?

Lead buildup in the barrel will cause increased friction, I've measured a drop of 20 fpe in power with dirty barrel. However, we are talking about 100+ fpe gun here so that shouldn't be the whole problem. My guess is that something is wrong with the gun mechanically. O-ring missing from breech perhaps or too low pressure?

I didn't think of that. I'll do the best I can to find that out without taking too much apart. Thanks!

This may be a stupid question but have you checked the side lever linkage pins?  I had a problem like what you are describing and it turned out to be the pivot pins dropping in the linkage too far and causing the jamb.  It's not too hard to take apart to inspect the lever and linkage.
