After doing some recent fun shoots at 100yds I decided to give the long range club a try
and found it to be a fun challenge as well as slightly surprising difficult challenge in most all my other
shooting wind hadn't played much role but when I finally had a chance to do some shooting thursday evening
I found out just how challenging a changing 8-15mph wind can be as well as how much a 4% spread shows at 100yds.
but after 5-6 trys here's my entry:
using my new Hatsan BT65 QE in .25
Shooting Air Arms 25.4gr pellets at around 980fps
and for this target I shot the first three shots then topped back up
to my starting pressure to finish the group.
Was shot with a combination bipod/ front rest as well as support at the back
but rifle was shouldered by shooter.
Range was 320ft or ~107yds as measured by tape.
Wind was changing from 8-15mph according to weather records for the evening
but unfortunately I don't have a wind meter yet but the trees were definitely swaying in the breeze.
Was shot just as it was starting to get dark enough to effect visibility.(it was my final target for the night.)
5 shot group measures 2.37in. or just under 2 3/8in. C-T-C:

Here's a better photo from the next morning but I forgot to put the bipod down for picture as that's how it was when I shot the target.

Thanks Sharpshooter Bob! I'll definitely be doing some more targets,
I was so close to Sharpshooter :) I think I'm about 0.18in. to big?
Might have to do some of your mods to my at44 and BT65 to see if I can get me ES down abit,
do you know what size screw I would need for plugging the holes on a BT65? they look a bit bigger than on the at44.

Nice shooting Joseph.
Thanks :)

Good shooting Joseph :D

We use 1" = 1 MOA at 100 yards.... so at 107, 2 MOA is 2.14", and you are at 2.38".... Just 1/4" smaller you would have made it....

The PDF's or links for the targets are at the bottom of this post:

(Jay) if you download the .pdf files, you can scale them to your range when you print them.... eg. if you are shooting at 135 yards, use 135% when printing.... There are three links in that thread, for targets with a white bull, yellow bull, or black bull.... all the same size.... Printed at 100% the 9 ring is exactly 4.00" across (which we consider 4 MOA).... The rules are in that thread as well....

Hey nice job!
At 8 to 15 knots oh brother... Even 50 yards can be a mess. Amazing you got it this tight. That weight pellet pushed that fast shooting this tight is very very impressive.

Thanks though it definitely took a little fiddling to get all five shots inside of 4 MOA...
I had one with 4 shots at 1 3/4in. but dropped one of them 3 inches.
I shot about 50 shots before I got the final target,
although it was my first time shooting 100+yds on paper.

Good shooting. It's always the fourth or fifth pellet that give you trouble.....

Congratulations on making the club! Nice Shooting!
